The government has arrested a man accused of providing the gun used in the fatal shooting of two Ohio police officers.
Federal prosecutors say Gerald Lawson of suburban Cleveland is accused of buying the handgun for shooting suspect Quentin Smith last summer. A criminal complaint filed against Lawson in federal court Monday says Smith gave Lawson the money to buy the gun along with $100 for completing the transaction.
It was not clear whether a lawyer had been appointed yet for Lawson. He was due in federal court Monday afternoon. As a felon convicted previously of burglary, Smith was prevented from having a weapon.

Mohamed Massaquoi was a second-round pick in the 2009 draft because of his ability to catch a football, but he lost one of the hands that helped in that task after an ATV accident.
Massaquoi revealed the prosthetic he now wears in place of most of his left hand — his thumb is intact — in a video for The Players Tribune on Monday. Massaquoi described taking a turn too sharply on the ATV early last year and feeling like an explosion went off in his hand.
you can sign Davis anytime
Cornerback Vontae Davis saw his time with the Colts end abruptly last November when the team released him amid a disagreement about how much Davis was being bothered by a core muscle injury.
The Colts said he was healthy and wasn’t playing well, but Davis wound up having surgery after getting dropped from the roster in Indianapolis. There was initially some hope that he could return to action before the end of the season, but that did not come to pass.
Davis’ return to active status could come soon, however. Adam Schefter of ESPN reports that Davis has been medically cleared to resume football activities. Since Davis was released, he is eligible to sign with a team before the new league year starts on March 14 and Schefter reports teams are expected to be interested.

i’ve always preached staying away from guys who have character issues, or weed guys, or guys with red flags next to their names….
no, and thank you.
Except last year when you were ALL IN on Malik McDowell?
and what was his red flag?
Described by teammates as “locker room cancer.” Effort not always there. Didn’t get along with coaching staff, etc.
right….of course.
Once scout and the combine said he gave the worst interview he’s ever seen. Blamed his MSU coaching staff for lack of production. Claimed they eventually came around to his ideas because they couldn’t make him better than he was. Said he could play safety.
Subsequently was arrested, cussed out cops, and his entire career is in jeopardy as a result of an ATV crash prior to rookie training camp.
Yea man. He had red flags all over the place.
And did not disappoint.
Never understood why btg insisted on giving him a pass.
if he was a problem, i wanted nothing to do with him…

Welp, everyone but you understood that the guy had a bunch of red flags, so yeah, you did.
and i’m saying now, that i was generally unaware

The Jaguars are serious about rebranding themselves, now that they’re actually good at football.
In addition to today’s announcement that they’re removing the tarps from EverBank Field (and raising ticket prices almost 11 percent), they also said they’re getting new uniforms and helmets for the 2018 season, which will be unveiled later this spring.
Might sign Cousins?
Sign Vonte Davis. Then we’d have 2 pro bowl corners. Let Moreau and Dunbar handle the slots. Draft a DL at 13 to pair with Allen. Resign Brown, and take another ILB in the draft.

Because the defense was so great last year?

bring back those guys, and supplement with draft picks also….keep drafting well..is the key
I’m all for keeping them, but I don’t know how you characterize bringing back several players who contributed to a pretty bad defense (minus a very good player) as “a great offseason.”
Bree is supposed to be getting over 10 million a year, a lot of the guys who cover the team don’t think we’ll be keeping him.

$10m?
Says who? His agent?
I’ll find the language, I think it was Tandler.
Tandler:
“The pending free agency of Bashaud Breeland also is discussed here. He likely will be out of the Redskins’ price range as he is looking at a potential contract with an AAV of $10 million. The loss of Kendall Fuller in the Alex Smith trade may give the Redskins pause but that price tag is probably too high.”
The guy that leads the league in being hurdled by the ball carrier, ain’t getting $10m per.
Not sure, prices of all NFL FAs are going up, he just might.
I don’t know about $10M/yr but he should get at least $6-7M
Spotrac lists his FA value at $6.9 million, FWIW.

Jaguars will raise ticket prices, remove tarps in 2018
Posted by Michael David Smith on February 12, 2018, 11:31 AM EST
After years of covering thousands of empty seats with tarps, the Jaguars are popular enough in Jacksonville again to sell tickets for the whole stadium — and to charge more for those tickets.
The Jaguars, who pulled out the tarps for their home playoff game last month, will also remove the tarps for the regular season in 2018. The team announced that today, along with the news that the average ticket price will increase by around 11 percent.
Jaguars owner Shad Khan has long said he hopes the team will be able to remove the tarps and fill EverBank Field. For many years the Jaguars have limited attendance to about 64,000, but when they pulled out the tarps for their playoff game against the Bills the Jaguars drew more than 69,000.
Despite their newfound ability to fill their stadium, the Jaguars are still committed to playing one “home” game per year in London. In 2018 they will play the Eagles at Wembley Stadium.
The economics of the London game actually work out for a team like Jacksonville that has ticket issues at home.
That’s a fun stadium to watch a game in. Love the swimming pool.

The account comes from deputies at the scene of the shooting and at least three witnesses, still under investigation from DA office, a ruling is expected soon:
Before his fatal encounter with sheriff’s deputies, dispatchers received an anonymous 911 call about a man beating a woman at a gas station. Deputies responded to the scene of the assault at Marathon, 2927 Cortez Road at 9:20 p.m., but Mobley fled before they arrived, the caller said.
A deputy located Mobley within a few minutes but he did not stop when the deputy attempted to pull him ever. By 9:27 p.m., two other deputies spotted Mobley and gave chase to the 6300 block of Sixth Street West in Bradenton, according to Wells.
That’s when Mobley exited his white Chrysler 300 and took off running through backyards, hopping fences along the way. A K-9 named Boss tracked Mobley through the neighborhood and Drymon confronted him.
According to Wells, Mobley then allegedly told the deputy, “I have a gun for you (expletive).”
Mobley ignored numerous commands to show his hands, instead reaching into his waistband as he continued to say he was armed, according to the sheriff’s office. Drymon — then in fear for his own life, Wells said — fired two shots. Mobley fell to the ground but quickly got back up and again told the deputy he had a gun.
Drymon fired two more shots, and Mobley collapsed to the ground. Mobley was taken to Sarasota Memorial Hospital, where he died shortly after the shooting.

This only works if you have more than one officer, cause well, somebody has to have a gun covering him that shoots real bullets, just in case he actually had a gun.
Shot twice, but continues to declare, audibly, that he’s got a gun for them?
Seems to me like someone never sat down and thought up scenarios of what they’re gonna say when they end up in a fatal shooting. Cuz that story is just, awful.
On another note, someone please explain to me what was so special about the triple axel jump that the skater did last night. For the life of me, I can’t tell the difference in all of these ice skating routines. It all looks the same to me. The skaters jump up and spin, then skate around a bit, then stay on the ice and spin. I guess this is why I’ve never been able to watch Dancing with the Stars, either.
I thought we were doing quads these days.
Slackers.
I’ve done five at one time – J Weir

shot?
Fortunately, a clip of Weir doing five at once would be both traumatizing and inappropriate.
There is nothing special about any of it.
I can’t tell an Alex Foley from an Inspector Lutz
Neither would fall for the banana in the tailpipe anyway.
‘The axel is typically regarded as the the most difficult figure skating jump. The single axel
is the first jump that requires more than one full rotation in the
air. The axel takes off from a forward outside edge, rotates in the
direction of the take-off edge, and lands on the opposite foot on a back
outside edge. Contrary to popular belief, the axel DOES NOT rotate 1
1/2 times in the air. Total rotation of the entire element is roughly 1
1/2 revolutions, but some of that is actually accomplished on the ice.
The axel is particularly challenging because few skaters learning the
jump have proper control of the forward outside edge needed for
take-off. The double axel is especially challenging
for more advanced skaters because it requires significantly more
athleticism and control than any other double jump. In terms of skill,
it more closely resembles a triple jump than the other doubles. Also,
skaters learning a double axel often have ingrained bad habits from
years of doing single axels incorrectly, making the jump that much
harder. Even now, more than 50 years after they were first landed, the triple axel is a rare accomplishment of only the most athletic and skilled figure skaters.’

Yeah, cops are always in the right.
I’m sure the cop wouldn’t lie.
Yeah, you’d hate to jump to conclusions based upon Noone’s generic take on some police shooting.
=======================================================
1. You should not use always and never in logical arguments because things generally are not black or white
2. I never posited that cops were always right or they would not lie
3. From observation, the vast majority of criminals will only tell the truth when there is some benefit in it for them
4. Like with any profession, there are good and bad workers, most police forces work hard to eliminate the bad workers
5. There is a disproportionate amount of shootings involving the police and minorities in this country
6. Some minorities think disrespecting police officers increases their cultural credibility which can exacerbate situations
7. I think many police forces don’t do enough training on deescalation and non-lethal takedowns
8. I don’t think you understand the meaning of generic
I can say this much. From my time in a DA’s office, in my experience, 99.99% of people charged actually committed the offense for which they were charged. They couldn’t always be convicted because of evidentiary standards, rights violations, etc. – properly so; that’s why we have a justice system and the beyond a reasonable doubt standard – but the number of folks who were completely innocent is remarkably small. At least in my experience.
Completely innocent, and not guilty as charged, are two different things.
I believe that’s precisely what I said.
Oh I get it, you and Noone can do that, but not I…….lol, COS
And no, it’s not what you said.
Yes, it is.
“From my time in a DA’s office, in my experience, 99.99% of people charged actually committed the offense for which they were charged”
“They couldn’t always be convicted because of evidentiary standards, rights violations, etc.”
Couldn’t make it stick, eh?
You misunderstood me, not the other way around.
What he said was, they couldn’t prove it, but he knows they were guilty. Mkay.
I’m just speaking in general terms, I don’t know anything about this Bradenton shooting. But yeah, how dare I.
This isn’t a question of whether the guy who was killed was innocent or guilty of the crime, but of whether lethal force was justified.
If you’re brandishing a firearm at the police, lethal force is justified, and yes, I do give the police the benefit of the doubt.
Agreed
Per Noone, this guy didn’t have a gun.
Meh….. minor detail
Most of the time the people deciding if lethal force was necessary is someone who has never been in a life or death situation and has no idea of what there talking about.
What you did was mock people protesting a fatal police shooting, where there is apparently very little objective evidence concerning whether or not it was justified, and you did it on the basis that the cops were clearly telling the truth (despite no objective evidence offered) and the protesters were wrong and just a bunch of flaky liberals.
Why?
So we are at a point now where no man or woman who puts their lives on the line every day deserve any benefit of the doubt.
Got it.
You are the dried dog crap on the shoes of humanity.
Benefit of the doubt? Sure. Assume they are always telling the truth? Only an idiot would do that. ^^^
That would bear itself out after an investigation you moron.
Now you’re just blurting out random words.
there is that always again
are you joining the “stupid pool of people” too?
Benefit of the doubt…
two-way street yo.
But really…it’s impossible anymore to not be a skeptical cynic. What, with how much out and out dishonesty exists on both sides of crime/law enforcement coin.
I give a cop the benefit of the doubt, yo.
I bet when you’re about to get your ass kicked the first thing you look for is a cop.
Nope
I mock people who say stupid things
he was good man — who beat his wife
there was no cause for this — he ran from the police
the outcome was horrible but easily avoidable
it’s like the idiots you see on TV all the time claiming that “you got no right to pull me over” and then police list 3-5 things they did like traffic violations, equipment deficiencies, etc
and still tell the police I know my rights and you got no right to pull me over
they are just stupid fools who should know better
He could be the biggest dirt bag of all time. Has absolutely nothing to do with whether the shooting was justified.
I never said it did

If the skins were to find a 2nd guy like Thompson, you could start drawing up a lot of fun packages with the two of them, bringing them both on the field never knowing if one’s gonna be an RB or a WR.
Draft J Samuels and be done with it.
I’m skerrd – Jay
I think CT comes back as effective as he was in 2017 for 2 reasons: His success was due to becoming confident in his understanding of the system; which he mentioned himself. Next and just as key, his injury was a broken bone as opposed to ligaments or tendons or cartilage. He came a long way to make it to that point last year and I do not see him letting himself be anything less that he was as a star in 2017.
Agreed
Lewis is a clone and just as injury prone
I am not going to refer to CT’s broken leg as a result of being injury prone. He got rolled up on. His snapped twig was not a result of past injuries or due to some perceived fragility. Freak injury to me.
Mr. Brittle Bones.

Quick, grab the phone
It’s something to bemoan when you’re shown how quick a player can fall from greatness, when they thought they were still atop that throne.
Ooooooooooooooo, the guitar solo!
They’re going to have to add some more weapons to this team, or otherwise defenses are going to key on him as basically the only threat (assuming Reed will be injured). Also, Gruden’s going to have to stop telegrpahing his usage of CT.
yes, these aren’t the hogs of old when they’d tell the defense riggo was coming, and they still couldn’t stop it…
Agreed. CT is not a full-time, 3-down back. Never was in my mind anyway.
of course he isn’t…too small
My take is, quit hoping that Jay is going to change his stripes and commit to a traditional running game. Instead, get enough CT-type RBs to where we can use them on 1st and 2nd down. I think that would open up Jay’s offense a lot and eliminate those wasted 1st down plays where one of our pluggers dives into the back of the OL for a 1 yd gain.
Dion Lewis or Isiah Crowell? Thoughts on these 2 FAs?
I’d be interested at taking a look-see at IC.
hmmm, Dion, but not thrilled with either
Wasted time
Lewis for me. I’d rather platoon him, CT, and Bibbs on three downs than use Kelley and Perine on downs 1 and 2 and bring in CT in passing situations. Keep one of the big backs for short yardage situations.
Crowell
Lewis is CT duplicate
Apparently Bullock mentioned these in a WAPO article according to NFL Trade Rumors.
And this podcast….
What podcast?
From your avatar……… nevermind.
We asked him about free agents RBs specifically to let him pimp his WaPo piece.
Neither.
I’m more inclined to agree with this^ draft a runningback
Me too — deep RB draft — but if we can get a FA bargain I’d be okay with that too.
To be fair to Mark, the question on the show to him was geared towards available free agents, not draft choices. He wrote a piece about it at WaPo last week.
huge drop off after Bell imo at rb.
I think he didn’t mention Bell because (1) he most likely won’t make it to free agency, and (2) he’d be way out of our price range. That’s why I didn’t ask about Bell.
agreed, just stating of the potential free agent running backs, Bell is by far the best, if available. 2nd place is a huge drop off
FWIW the read-option and Pederson’s run-pass option are not the same thing
i clearly distinguished between “read option” and “run-pass option”.
i just love the “option” plays where the play is not determined before the snap. let’s see how they actually defend it, during the play – not just pre-snap – and adjust.
You bundled them. I had a similar experience with him yesterday, in regards to my Nassar post.
To me they mean 2 different things.
Read Option – QB plans to hand ball off in shotgun/pistol, decides to run it himself or RB based on single DE read, going inside or outside with the run.
Run-Pass Option – QB plans to hand ball off in shotgun/pistol, decides to run with RB or keep the ball and pass it based on if the DE bites on the pass.
Obviously the difference would be in a R-P-O you’re going to have WR’s running passing routs, where the RO they are probably blocking.
Then you have the zone passing stuff that RGIII did his rookie year, where you basically just did a single read on the OLB to decide if a ball went to the TE or slot WR.
of course they are different plays. sorry for mentioning 2 related concepts in the same post….
Just don’t fucking do it again.
Translation: make your posts multi-leveled and lay traps, drives them cray cray.
The confusion was mine since I messed up my question to Mark. I really do understand the difference, promise.
I mistakenly interchanged the terms at least twice on the show. What I was intending to do is ask about both, which I eventually did, but it just came out garbled. It’s live; sorry.
has anyone ever, in the history of the world, produced a correct mock draft?
========================================================
not 100% there is a site that tracks the 1st round picks and there are a couple of people who do a really good job
the big issue is when there are trades which are hard to predict so like in 2017 the CHI trade blew out everyone’s mock draft predictions (and even CHI HC Fox did not see that trade coming)
and Mayock is way better than Kiper the last time I looked ta the site
Mayock crushed the competition in ’16, and he only got 11 of the top 32 picks dead on.
The Chicago trade landed us Allen, IMO
they was a real run on QBs, WRs and CBs which let Allen fall to us
and all of the WRs did not do much
Chicago lit the fuse.
Pushed the first domino
Fort Sumter’d it
there are 2 separate parallel universe olympics happening. there is the olympics sports fans are watching, and the olympics once-every-four-years people are watching.
And the one people are watching because of Pence and Kim Yo
https://media.giphy.com/media/Am1nhjxVA0fEQ/giphy.gif
Yeah, we watch Lindsey Vonn,
you watch Johnny Weir 😉
vonn is bad-ass.
Yes, Weir probably is too…………..in a entirely different and negative way.
bob weir was a great supporting character for jerry.
Remember the “dude” with the crazy necklace from last night? Yeah, so…….
if you include the summer olympics, it’s the once-every-2-years people. you know, gymnastics and toilet-paper dancing fans.
So we know Bullock wasn’t a huge KC fan.
What’s his general take on AS? (Thanks in advance! Can’t listen at work.)
Positive
J-A-M-U-A-L’s questions really contributed to the meat of the show.
has anyone ever, in the history of the world, produced a correct mock draft? of course not. has anyone ever, in the history of the world even predicted the entire first round correctly? of course not. first 20 picks? first 10 picks? first 5?
We aren’t in the prediction business, we’re in the learning players business.
Yep. The last couple drafts have been interesting far deeper into the rounds than in the old days, largely because of all the mocking mockery around her.
Exactly. Also, it more about learning where the players slot in, generally, than it is about predicting the exact spot where they’ll be taken.
so…. serious question. has anyone ever gotten the first 5 picks right? 10?

It’s so the person next to the window can’t block the whole thing when looking out and persons in the same row can still get a peek.
Best answer
fuck that. if you get a “window seat”, that is your window.

Here’s my Mockery.
Your score is: 20114 (GRADE: B+)
Your Picks:
Round 1 Pick 13: Vita Vea, DT, Washington (B)
Round 2 Pick 12: Sony Michel, RB, Georgia (B+)
Round 4 Pick 13: Leighton Vander Esch, ILB, Boise State (A+)
Round 5 Pick 12: Deontay Burnett, WR, Southern California (A+)
Round 6 Pick 14: Deatrick Nichols, CB, South Florida (A+)
Round 7 Pick 13: Austin Corbett, OG, Nevada (A+)
Round 7 Pick 23: Du’Vonta Lampkin, DT, Oklahoma (A+)
Similar to mine earlier today. I like it.
Yeah you took a G in the 4th and a ILB in 7th…I did the opposite, Lampkin and Burnett same
Plus you took Dline in first and RB in second.
Verve, KC lacks it, perhaps AS has it, we shall see.
Your score is: 20101 (GRADE: B+)
Your Picks:
Round 1 Pick 13: Minkah Fitzpatrick, CB/FS, Alabama (A)
Round 2 Pick 21 (BUF): DaRon Payne, DT, Alabama (A+)
Round 4 Pick 13: Rashaad Penny, RB, San Diego State (A+)
Round 5 Pick 12: Michael Gallup, WR, Colorado State (A+)
Round 5 Pick 29 (BUF): Skyler Phillips, OG, Idaho State (A)
Round 6 Pick 14: B.J. Hill, DT, North Carolina State (A+)
Round 7 Pick 13: Greg Stroman, CB, Virginia Tech (A+)
Round 7 Pick 23: Mike White, QB, Western Kentucky (C)
I’m shocked White is a C that far back in the draft.
The Spider is also.
Good draft here.
No way Payne is there at pick 21 in the 2nd round.
No probably not.
Also no way Minkah is there at 13.
If you are going to dream, dream big! I like it.
more teams should run the read-option and the run-pass option. killer plays for a defense. you do not need a speedy, rg3-type qb to run read option.
But, it helps.
-Taylor Martinez
Nope you don’t, but most coordinators or head coaches are stubborn and don’t adapt.
seems to me like it’s an almost-guaranteed 6+ yards. that’s a good play.
True
and it totally f’s with the defense’s heads.
Defenses figure stuff out and qb’s will get killed relying on that. every now and then, great, not full time
for the read-option, i’m not asking the qb to be heroic and go for 80 yards every time. 5 yards and get down, or out of bounds. 5-8 times a game. read-option sets up a lot of other stuff and f’s with defenses. and, then, you saw foles, nick freakin foles, do the run-pass option numerous times.
The best way to stop the RPO stuff may actually be Greg M’s system of a read-reaction assignment based defense.
I was told that defenses caught up to all that in 2013. I reckon no one told the Eagles.
Those two are not comparable, period.
I looked at the twitter accounts for both ZBrown and JGallette
Not sure what was said I couldn’t find anything
Both have been vague booking their negotiations. Things that make it look like “Maybe” they have something in the works.
Brown will want to hit FA’s although not to worried about it since he was better last year and not injured and didn’t get any offers.
Good show, thanks
Eh, 7/10.
Lol
I was a 10 since we didn’t have that annoying Alex guy this week.
Cooley made a good point this morning re Alex Smith coming to the team when he mentioned, at this stage of his career, Jay really needs to adapt more to Alex than relying on Alex to adapt himself to the Skins’ offense thusly letting go of what’s made him so valuable over the years and have to learn and think all over again during that learning period.
I don’t see much separation between AS and KC. Perhaps a bit more mobility? Older.
Touch
Willing to throw the 50/50 ball and let our athletes go get it.
ASmith isn’t a pussy. That’s a biggie.
LOL
You were on TV last night.
“You guys playing cards?”
That’s hilarious!
I guess where I’m at is, since we weren’t keeping KC, I’d have rather kept our draft pick and Fuller, gone with Colt and drafted a qb. We’re not a SB team now imo and AS isn’t gonna get it done anyway.
That’s funny, but it actually hits the nail on the head (previously wasn’t able to verbalize what I didn’t like/love about Cousins). He’s a pussy.
I do seem to recall his(KC’s) wife saying something about wanting him to be more fearless like when he was at Michigan State. Something like that.
Pillow talk?
lol

I watched some of the Biathlon yesterday. Which frankly should be way more popular than it is. But I think I’ve figured out why some sports struggle with coverage, and it’s bad camera angles.
So much of the Biathlon is shot in closeups, that you never get a great sense of the scope of how far and fast they are skiing, and the distances of the shots.
that’s a fun one to watch. there is still a subjective aspect in that there is some sort of arbitrary penalty for a missed shot.
Yeah I don’t get that.
biathalon is cool in that you can totally see its origin as northern people going out hunting. ski, ski, ski, ski, ski, shoot. ski, ski, ski, ski, ski, shoot.
Yes, the best sports mostly have their origins in primitive ways of life don’t they?

It will be interesting to see the NCAA Men’s hoops rankings today as all of the top 4 have lost a game in the past week or so. The teams outside of the top 4 don’t deserve the #1 ranking.
What do we have, 3 months till March Madness?
Only like 3 weeks of regular season.
I’m on tender hooks.

hahahahaha…. yeah, those soft hooks are the best!

I always thought it was deep seeded. You know like when you plant a seed deep in the soil.
Deep seeds rarely sprout.
Yes but they also get crazy roots.
there are number of funny mis-expression you use. i only mention it 1 out of 10 or 20 times….

So, I wasn’t on this show obviously, had to help some friends out at their job, they were doing some kids book signing thing at Glen Echo Park and needed volunteers to help keep order. BTW, Glen Echo Park may be one of the coolest little areas of DC that is totally underutilized IMO.
I still haven’t listened to the show, outside of my few edits I do to the front and back end.
Shhhhhhhhh!
I love the front and backends, too.
The music was actually Robbie’s doing back when he was on the show. He went and found a guy on the web to create it all.
Think you’re missing the point…. unless, of course, you’re referring to doing the front and backends with Robbie. Completely cool if you are.
I’ma guess, the other way around.
Hey, whatever makes them happy. They’re two consenting adults.
Just sayin’, ain’t none a my business

I deleted nothing.

what did the poll show? I missed that.

Bullock hates losing Fuller, surprised face.
who doesn’t?
Quite a few people here
oh, those experts?
Si
I think there are plenty of people that aren’t happy that we let Fuller go to get Alex Smith; however, I believe many of them understand that it was necesary to get Alex Smith, and that, in the grand scheme of things, it was more important to get Alex Smith.
Crazy talk.
Was Alex Smith the only option? I mean, could we have kept our draft pick and Fuller and rolled with Colt while drafting a qb? Or is Alex Smith the Leader to finally get us to the SB? I just don’t see much separation between AS and KC.
No, but quite possibly, the best.
so, maybe? meh

Hey,
I’ve suggested it repeatedly. But the whole thing would just turn into us insulting NPI. We have tried listener questions in the past, it fails miserably.
Right. I see us asking a guy like Doc Walker what he thinks of NPI.
No need to ask Bullock. We already know.
No shit.
My first Mockery of the year:
Your score is: 18122 (GRADE: B-)
Your Picks:
Round 1 Pick 13: DaRon Payne, DT, Alabama (B)
Round 2 Pick 12: Nick Chubb, RB, Georgia (B)
Round 4 Pick 13: James Daniels, C/OG, Iowa (A+)
Round 5 Pick 12: Deontay Burnett, WR, Southern California (A+)
Round 6 Pick 14: Chris Worley, ILB, Ohio State (B-)
Round 7 Pick 13: Greg Stroman, CB, Virginia Tech (A+)
Round 7 Pick 23: Du’Vonta Lampkin, DT, Oklahoma (A+)
Chubb is a 3rd or 4th rounder…
Like I said, my first…
Just mocking you bro.

He used to be an A+
Grade chaser, lol
pffft
Yeah
Football player. Get him.
Stroman baby, here’s your free beer.
RBs. This crew used a 3rd and 4th pick last 3 drafts on RB. If Barkley and Guice gone…hard pass on drafting another RB since no 3rd rd pick. Get the blue chipper next year that stares our scouts in the face. Or UDFAs….Frankly should try and bring back Mack Brown once Cook returns.
Well according to Tandler we won’t be very active in FA.
“With about $31 million in salary cap space, how aggressively will the Redskins hit the free agent market? I think that the priority will be to give extensions to Jamison Crowder, Brandon Scherff and perhaps Preston Smith and to re-sign Zach Brown. Extensions of fourth-year players generally carry relatively low first-year cap hits, so even if they get all of that done, they still should have around $18 million left. They probably want to go into the season with about $8 million and they will need a couple of million to sign their draft picks. They can fit a couple of mid-tier players with the other $8 million. So, to answer the original question, not very aggressive.”
i’ll be really disappointed if zach brown gets away.
He’s easily replaced, just like Fuller. We got this!
Sarcasm font
Gotta be careful about FA. Too many moves would negate comp pick for Cousins. Or at least that’s the way I understand it. Could be wrong.

If Jay hasn’t figured out by now that pass-pass-pass-pass isn’t going to to cut it in the NFL….
washington was #4 in the nfl last season in rushing attempts.

mind blown?
oops, actually that was s defensive stat. something jumped on me…. can’t get the offensive stat to show up.
nevermind…. washington was 24th in attempts….
http://www.nfl.com/stats/categorystats?seasonType=REG&offensiveStatisticCategory=RUSHING&d-447263-n=1&d-447263-o=2&d-447263-p=1&d-447263-s=RUSHING_ATTEMPTS_PER_GAME_AVG&tabSeq=2&season=2017&role=TM&Submit=Go&archive=false&conference=null&defensiveStatisticCategory=null&qualified=false
Sure we tried to run, but that 3.2 average made things tough.
Ummm….wif
You might want to recheck that
i did. 24th in attempts. i left the whole thing up there so bad rep’s comment would make sense.
Running game. Of course.
Jay will have guys open.
Smith just has to get acclimated to the routes and his receivers. The pass game will work.
Won’t skip a beat without that other guy gone.
Smith does hear footsteps. No doubt. But when he goes, he goes.
Get a RB draft:
Round 1 Pick 16 (BALT): Saquon Barkley, RB, Penn State (A+)
Round 2 Pick 12: Will Hernandez, OG, Texas-El Paso (B+)
Round 2 Pick 20 (BALT): Derrick Nnadi, DT, Florida State (B+)
Round 4 Pick 13: Trey Quinn, WR, Southern Methodist (A+)
Round 5 Pick 12: Poona Ford, DT, Texas (A)
Round 6 Pick 14: Deatrick Nichols, CB, South Florida (A+)
Round 7 Pick 13: Alex Cappa , OT, Humboldt State (B+)
Round 7 Pick 23: Richie James, WR, Middle Tennessee (A+)
Poona? Who’s that?
The key player to any successful draft.
Never heard of him. Must be one of those division 2 guys.
Other than age, Smith is an upgrade across the board over Cousins. That age factor though, is significant.
Going to have to listen here and there throughout the morning/day

Good trade, given the circumstances. Bummer about Fuller, but business is business. Move forward and build the team.
Personally, I’m glad we’re not hand wringing about what the team will do if Kirk leaves. That conversation has been beaten into the ground.
Foist
