Washington Gets Their Wideout

It was an obvious move that everyone saw. A perfect fit. Here you had a talented young receiver who had played for Coach Ron Rivera and offensive coordinator Scott Turner just a year ago and their new team in desperate need of some more speed at the position. It was announced around 8 PM tonight that Washington had snagged their guy, free agent, Curtis Samuel. Lake Lewis broke the news that Samuel signed with Washington, a 3 year $34.5M contract for the 5’11” speedster, whose presence can only open things up on offense in 2021.
The former Panther and Ohio State alum will get to reunite with his last coach as well as with his former college friend Terry McLaurin. Who had this to say when the news broke:

To be honest, doing this makes me happier than scoring 💪🏾 pic.twitter.com/Rqpg4cFPpV

Needless to say, Captain Terry is very happy right now.
Samuel spent his first 4 seasons in Carolina and is coming off his rookie contract at just 24 years old. In 4 seasons he’s had 2087 yards and 14 TDs. In his final season, he took a big step forward getting 851 yards on 77 catches and 3 touchdowns.
