Patience wearing thin with Terrelle Pryor, is it time to inactivate?

Terrelle Pryor Sr., has made plenty of noise since joining the Washington Redskins. His training camp highlights lit a fuse amongst the fans of the Redskins as well as the media that covers them. Pryor was looked at as competent replacement throughout the off-season, and even leading up to week one of the regular season. There were even talks amongst fans that he needed to be re-signed during the season, or have the 2018 franchise tag placed on him as opposed to Kirk Cousins. Well, we are six games into the regular season, and Terrelle Pryor has not lived up to the hype in the slightest.
Following multiple games with numerous drops Pryor has accounted for, he was benched in favor of Josh Doctson this past Monday night game against the Philadelphia Eagles. He made his first appearance in the second half of that game and promptly dropped his first target thrown his way. It has been a consistent problem with Pryor this season. There were even talks of drops in Cleveland as well, which makes all the more sense as to why the Redskins inked the second-year wideout to a one-year deal.
There is a point-in-time where coaches will be forced to decide whether they will have to move on from Pryor, not by releasing him, but just by replacing him with other receivers who have yet to get an opportunity. Maurice Harris, who had a quiet yet productive 2016 rookie season with Washington, is waiting on the practice squad for an opportunity. The other free agent wide receiver addition, Brian Quick, has not seen the field much to prove his worth to the Redskins, but he is more developed as a receiver than Pryor to this point. Time is running out for Pryor to correct his flaws. This is not to say the team should give up on him right now, but if Pryor fails to improve dramatically within the next couple of weeks, the prized free agent may not see the number one receiver money he thought he would.
