The Redskins are as dysfunctional as ever….signing “glue” guys like Dunbar and Foster, but can’t get a deal done with Kirk.

Don’t WANT to get a deal done with Kirk. Not for Stafford money anyway.
Kirk = horse glue
Thanks, Alex!

Better than Foster, sure. But 10X? Not even close. Don’t get me wrong, I think ZB is a very good player, but I’m not nearly as impressed by him as a lot of y’all.
__________________________________________________________________________________
Apparently the rest of the NFL is not that impressed with him either as he basically got no offers last year in FA’s except a 1 year offer from us.
Sometimes it takes players a while to get it our their ass on fire about to be out of the league.
Squinns has been snubbed
Showing as inactive and can’t be replied to
Hence the page refresh making his comments vanish
That’s because he’s an ass sniffer . The Hog Sty knows what it’s doing .
One thing I just don’t like about Kirk, is that he has a tendency to overthink what he is doing. He thinks too much about what defenses are trying to do and how to react. That kind of mindset can lead to missed opportunities, sacks, etc.
I want a QB who can read defenses, but has the mindset of “F this, I’m going to make defense worrying about how to react to me”.
Motherfu…..
that’s not what we’re talking about here!
Two pick sixes in the second half? I’m still slingin it!

So what you’re saying is you want a QB who learned English later in life.
We need a guy who can’t even count to 5.
You know Squinns is dyin’ right now. π
This is easy… you root for winners. I know that’s tough being a Skins fan. Pats all day
–Bandwagoner
My whole family is from the New England area… not hardly
Also, I lived in New Hampshire and Massachusettes for 5 years when I was a kid
Okay, but you said root for them because they’re winners.
Yes… that was advice for THIS teams fans in general… not myself in particular. Learn to love a winner
Well, I always like that Grogan guy.
The alternative is to root for losers… and Philly is about as “loser” as it gets.
I usually root for the underdog, but fuck Philly. Go Pats!
Philly is just a philthy dog…

Wasnβt Foster out of work when we picked him up? Incredible story.
Also, looks like that Vigil cat is going to be a solid backup

Sure he is. He’s not an impact player. Not even close.
————–
In 2016, when he was healthy, he put up about the same numbers Zach Brown put up this year.
Foster is not a Jag, not here, not in Tampa.
not in a boat, not on a goat. not on a plane, not on a train…. wait, what?
So we can take you out of title 1?
Sometimes you have to look at the tape. Heβs 10x more talented than Foster. But happy we inked him…
Better than Foster, sure. But 10X? Not even close. Don’t get me wrong, I think ZB is a very good player, but I’m not nearly as impressed by him as a lot of y’all.
Foster 2016 – 124 combined tackles 89 solo…..over 16 games
Brown 2017 – 127 combined tackles 84 solo….over 13 games
Foster needed to play alongside Compton to stand out.
And at that, I’ve ended the Foster is a JAG discussion.
Foster played in 16 games in ’16, but he only started 13.
That’s nothing to do with nothing.
Dude, give it up. ZB actually played about 100 more snaps this year than Foster played in 2016.
Dude. Look at what you’re saying.
Impact players, stay on the field.
So why did ZB only play 13 games? BOOM!!
Are you fucking with me?
He was injured.
Bullshit
Right? Who was ZB playing next to? Foster/Compton/Spaight/Vigil….
He can’t take on Kirk, so he’s changed targets.
And stood like a mofo. It was glaring. And you know it.
Brown/Foster together was undefeatable.
2 year deal for Foster

He will if he tries to run like he did in college.

Mason Foster was a McCloughan find.
Solid player too, just the type of nuts-n-bolts guy all teams need several of.
Whatever it is that happened to the Upton ass rag post, we may never know.

It appears that the #Redskins have their first significant re-signing of 2018.
Significant?
How’s that significant?
Starting ILB?
JAG?
Nah, he’s better than that.
No he’s not. That’s why there’s not one dude on this board that would not draft his replacement with Roquan Smith.
Hellz, who has even said anything near ‘we need to resign Foster’ ? I know I haven’t seen it.
Anyway. It’s not a significant signing.
Foster isn’t a JAG
Sure he is. He’s not an impact player. Not even close.
Mason Foster just inked a new deal with the Redskins
Bahahaha Kelly’d w00t
Good player but I’m a little surprised after his bellyaching about being IR’d.
Eh….he was just venting. They squashed it.
Yeah, but other players who vented got the heave ho (e.g., Baker, RJF).
And they suck.
They were clown acts.
FYI – sounds like Mason Foster signed with the Skins again.
Hey that’s great. Can never have too many mentally unstable defenders on the team.
Where’d Squinns Upton’s butt-rag post go?

Right now I see it from 9 minutes ago. I’ll refresh and see if it’s still there.
Yeah, gone for me too.
A highly reflective sphere has been placed in orbit by a New Zealand-launched rocket.
Akin to a giant “disco ball”, the object should be visible to the naked eye as it sweeps across a twilight sky.
It was lofted by American start-up Rocket Lab, whose Electron boosters operate from the North Island.
The company said its “Humanity Star” was an attempt to create a shared experience for everyone on Planet Earth.
“No matter where you are in the world, or what is happening in your life, everyone will be able to see the Humanity Star in the night sky,” said Rocket Lab CEO Peter Beck in a statement.
“My hope is that all those looking up at it will look past it to the vast expanse of the Universe and think a little differently about their lives, actions and what is important for humanity.”
can’t we get “Stayin’ Alive” play simultaneously on all devices on Earth too?
you should be able to look up at the moon and realize it is ~240,000 miles away (its distance is always always cycling, but it’s roughly 10 times the diameter of earth away) and be awed. you should be awed that the light from the sun you see is about 8 mins old. yes, the light from the sun, travelling at the speed of light, takes 8 minutes to get here. if the sun suddenly exploded, we would not know about it for 8 minutes….. you should be able to look up at venus every night (3rd brightest object in the sky: sun, moon, venus…) every night and be awed (anywhere from 24 to 160 million miles away). the closest star, besides the sun, is about 24,000,000,000,000, miles away. the light you are seeing from that star left the star about 4 years ago.
we can all see these things every day.
(there will be a quiz tomorrow.)
we would know about it before 8 minutes because the compression waves
i really do not think “compression waves” (sound?) travel faster than the speed of light. what data/info are you referencing?
is this like your “speed limits are unconstitutional” crap?
Sounds like it might be time for another rocket test.

f u. hope you end up in cleveland.
I mean, I want to be here, but somehow despite having been rebuilding since 2014 you guys still don’t have a defense, running game, quality wideouts, O-line depth, or decent special teams. On top of all that, you’ve low-balled me twice (after giving quarterback money to a pretty good but not great cornerback) and half of your fanbase will never ever forgive me for not being RG3. Can you truly blame me?
Yea. We can.

Brady skews that data.
True, but there’s also RWilson, and if — God forbid — Philly wins, Foles.
The thing that Cousins would be looking for is if Garappolo leaves San Fran in free agency
I see the FT in Jimmy G.’s future, followed by a LTD.
you’d be using a FT on a guy who has very little experience, same prob Cousins had
Placeholder to secure negotiating rights to the subsequent LTD. No way the Niners let him get away.
Be interesting to see if they learn from the Redskins/Cousins fiasco. I think they have and will avoid the tag.
One would think. Of course, the FT doesn’t mean much UNLESS they don’t get the LTD done in time.
the failure of the 9ers trade was the assumption that they wouldn’t play him this (last) season
I don’t think it’s the money he’s chasing. Others will disagree. But when have the Redskins been outbid on a player they want?
I’m thinking he’s looking for a running game, stability, and a good/great defense. I’m guessing AZ or Denver. If he wants money, it’ll be Cleveland.
I mean isn’t that any and every QB?
Arizona and Denver have several issues you don’t lose as many games as they do without them. Cousins is not good enough to change a teams fortunes that quickly.
Yep. I’d be cautious if I was Cousins about the coaching staffs in those places. I don’t like/believe in Vance. And who knows what’s happening in AZ. Though if it’s McDaniels, I think that’s a plus for KC.
Wilkes is the HC in AZ
Oh. Yeah. I knew that. Duh.My bad.

The value in round four was too good to pass up. BPA times 2. Proved to be an excellent – and correct – decision.

I dunno, Sand. He got us to a 9-7 record, cost us a fortune, and it looks like we’re not going to get anything in return for him.
concur. We wasted a 4th, paid him $44M and possibly nada. Unsure even if we get a comp pick…
We had three years where the games mattered into December. In non-Joe Gibbs eras, mediocrity/relevance is golden.
as i’ve mentioned a number of times, we strive for mediocrity. that’s where we are. it’s pathetic, but that’s where we are. a 9 win season is a rousing success. smdh.
we wisely spent just a 4th round pick on him, THEN screwed it up after that.
That’s fair. But what he’s done to date is really good value for a 4th.
I agree there
“He got us to a 9-7 record, cost us a fortune….”
——————–
we’d have been so much worse w/o him. if we had bortles, for example, for the last few years, we’d have been looking at multiple 5 win seasons. now, sucking THAT BAD is certainly better for drafting, but that’s a different conversation.
If we had Bortles we’d have had better draft position and also a lot more money to spend in free agency.
I really really really want another team to drop $150M on Cousins and observe how he performs. It took him several years to get to this point. About 2.5 in Gruden’s system. I do not think he’s THAT quick of a learner. So whatever offense he goes to will take its lumps. At $150M you’re expected to be an instant starter/leader. I’m not seeing it but I don’t wish anything bad on the guy. Go get that money…

“Damn it, Dan, I’m a QB whisperer not a miracle worker!”
Hey, hey, hey, hey-now. Don’t be mean; we don’t have to be mean, cuz, remember, no matter where you go, there you are.

i don’t watch enough star trek to be able to complete that sentence/joke, but it’s a good one.
Miracle worker
Several things, including ‘magician’.
You can also adlib.
The irony of that joke is that it’s not like it was a catch phrase, he maybe said it one time in 3 seasons.
And it’s very flexible as to what he is.
People make a big deal about it because he said Dammit on TV back in the 60’s. An era where women wearing pants on TV was still likely to draw an FCC fine.
I fuck with my boss all the time with that line. He’s a Trekkie.
‘Dammit Zeke, I’m a welder not a magician.’ But since you’re one, you’re the other.

alex,
i remember the line also from a “recent” (last decade) movie i saw in the theaters.

Another of McCoy’s catchphrases is his “I’m a doctor, (Jim) not a(n)…” statements, delivered by Kelley 11 times during the TOS run
They used it a ton in the movies though, IIRC
Kate McKinnon nailed it as Egon, in the remake. IMO

Different_Cat β’ 16 minutes ago
If he was such a great prospect why did he fall to the 4th round? Did he expect some team was going to draft him in rounds 4-7 and give him a real chance to compete for a starting job?
—————————–
He was widely considered a good prospect who had the tools to develop into a starter. He wasn’t painted as a day one franchise-saving QB, but people liked his arm, his feet, his throwing ability, the fact that he played in a pro system and was a three-year captain, which is pretty rare.
The 4th round was the right round for him… unless the team that drafted him also drafted a franchise QB in the 1st round. He should have gone to a team that was looking for a future starter. He went to a team that grabbed their future starter the previous day, which (barring some kind of freak injury and massive FO/HC dramatic clusterfuckery) would seal his fate as a bench guy for 4-5 years… he was drafted to sit on the bench behind RG3 – a QB he couldn’t be any more different from.
Why did the Redskins draft Kirk Cousins? He wasn’t a good fit to backup RG3, and we had plenty of other needs we could have addressed in the 4th round. And Flounder, I’m happy to let you decide whether drafting Cousins was a brilliant move by Shanahan, a terrible move by Shanahan, a brilliant move by Allen or a terrible move by Allen. You’re the only one here who was in the draft room, so you can tell us who made that call.
RGIII = Snyder’s guy (though Shanny went along and was therefore complicit)
Cousins = Shanny’s guy
Only Flounder knows for sure. Go ahead, fishy.
Shanny was President of the team and had final say on the roster but that is an old argument and stupid now because he is gone so who gives a fuck.
*testis*
Cousins was a 4th round pick without us he is a 5th or 6th round pick and probably a backup now.
Yeah yeah… but who drafted him and why and was it a good decision?
The Redskins drafted him probably as insurance in case RG3 failed.
Got it… the Redskins made the decision.
The value in round four was too good to pass up. BPA times 2. Proved to be an excellent – and correct – decision.

I do not trust KC further than he can throw an interception.
so about 55-60 yards then?
Somewhere around there, then.
Most QB’s drafted in the 4th round or beyond never even get a chance to start a game and sometimes it’s not because their not good enough. Kirk was drafted into the perfect situation for him to get a chance.
If Kirk wants to leave then who gives a shit have fun learning a new offense on a team that will have the same flaws we have if not more.
Jax, Denver and Arizona beg to differ on the quality of their teams.
Arizona has a horrible o-line and not great WR’s, Denver has a bad o-line and wont have the cap space to get in a bidding war for Kirk. Jacksonville is keeping Blake Bortles.
You’re wrong; I’m right.
And Bruce Allen sucks!

Jacksonville it is……
i say this with my redskin reading glasses perched atop my head while drinking coffee from my redskins coffee mug: most teams don’t have the same flaws as we do.
The teams that will be in the hunt for Kirk do. You just don’t want to admit it because you want your guy kirk to be in a great situation that makes him feel good.
just keeping it real, flounder.

If I were Kirk Cousins, my feelings about the Redskins would have been sour from Day One, when they spent a 4th round pick on me to backup their other rookie QB. It’s rare, but not unheard of, to draft two QBs in the same draft, but the second one is almost always in the 7th round when you’re scraping the barrel for talent.
Cousins stated at the time that he had expected to be drafted as a starting QB somewhere. I think he would have been okay with a first-year-clipboard type situation as well, but the Redskins picked him up with the intention of leaving him on the bench for four years while RG3 was supposed to be tearing up the league with his unstoppable awesomeness.
Really, Cousins never should have been a Redskin in the first place. He sucked it up, though, and did his job – but after getting a lowball offer in 2015 when it was clear that the Redskins needed him? I wouldn’t sign, either.
Cry me a river.
Poor Kirk never been treated good.
Leaving here with what, 50 million in his pocket?
Yeah, we fucked him over.
Kid wanted to be a football player and had the talent. Why should he like being benched by default? He was a good QB prospect.
If he was such a great prospect why did he fall to the 4th round? Did he expect some team was going to draft him in rounds 4-7 and give him a real chance to compete for a starting job?
He’s good but the timing is such that he’s going to be paid more than QB’s who have….you know…..won games in the post-season if not championships.
He is not worth that money. Doesn’t mean I hate him; but he ain’t worth that type of money.
I believe he feels that way, but IMO it’s a silly position to take. 31 other teams didn’t think he was good enough to pick before we selected him. He should be pissed off at THOSE teams. Once he got past the second round he was going to be a backup anyway.
Yeah we were the only team that thought he was god enough to get picked in the 4th round without us he is most likely a 5th round backup somewhere. He was actually lucky to get drafted by us it’s one of the reasons he got the opportunity to start. Might not have ever gotten that somewhere else.
Sorry, getting paid how much? I’m tired of the “poor ole Cousins” routine.
I’m just saying I understand him wanting to leave. Y’all can not like that as much as you want, I’ll still enjoy my breakfast.
Damn it! Where are Kelly’s Cheerios? I gotta take a leak!
Bull stuff kel
Bull
Pat’s traded a qb who they tagged
Matt Cassell
It can be done
it’s been done 3-4 times in past 20 years
If you tag Cousins he will play on the tag he will not agree to a trade.
I think you’re right.
100% Correct.
MOU with penalties
that’s why you have to agreed to contract before tagging
Cassel was tagged with the non-exclusive tag, and his contract was $14M. Cousins would be under the exclusive tag and his contract would be $20M more than that.
Jarred Allen was traded on a franchise tag. His contract was $8.8M.
from what I have heard 4 teams will be in the Cousins hunt
Broncos, Jags, Browns, Cards
Broncos and Browns players are already lobbying internally for Cousins
a lot of Jags players are still behind Bortles, Cards are still getting settled after coaching change
I would say if Broncos want to head things off they would seek a sign and trade deal
even though that is very hard to do under the rules from what I posted last night
Add the Redskins. Also, though it’s likely Garoppolo will want to stay in SF, the above teams will be talking to his agent as well, so they’re not completely out of the mix yet.
That would require the Skins to F Tag KC (without any certainty that they;ll ever get to trade him and that Cousins negotiate a LTD deal with Denver without having the opportunity to shop his market price in FA.
FANTASY WORLD
you would have to allow Denver to talk with Cousins prior to the tagging
agree to the contract in principal
then f-tag him
have him sign the tender
then trade after him after 4pm March 14th
lots of moving parts there
It’s a fantasy, IMO.
Then, after reaching an agreement in principle, Kirk starts up about he’s not feeling the love. Just wants to be with a winner. Blah blah blah
I have a strong gut feeling that Denver will move hard on Cousins.
Move on him like a bitch!
-POTUS
Dunno if it came up or not – yesterday Schefty said that the Jaguars are going to target either Cousins or Alex Smith.
I target Cousins.
– Honest Abe
We hear you.
-West Virginians
Meh
put cousins on the jags and they’d be awesome.
Even when he throws picks…they’ll say, “Shit! Bortles threw wayyyyyy more!”
No they really won’t be he has never proven to be any good in big games.
I’d actually like to see him play on a better team. He’s a good guy.
I disagree. He’s a two face mercenary. I get it. I understand it. But that doesn’t mean I have to like it in my Redskins quarterback. I want someone who passionately wants to be the Redksins QB (and who can be good at it).
With that said, it the Skins sign him to a LTD, then I love that guy!
Yeah they would .
Cousins is gone, regardless, IMO. Fugg that guy.
There’s a reasonable chance the FO will tag him again. As Steve has pointed out several times, it would be a terrible decision, but we make those sometimes.
That would be the absolute worst decision for this franchise. We ain’t going to a SB next year (the roster still needs significant overhaul),, and KC will be gone after that.
Fugg that guy and any idiot in the Redksins FO who thinkgs its a good idea.
“sometimes”…. hahaha… yer funny.

If you have more than 4-5 people saying it, it just sounds like indistinct background chatter.

In addition to Senior Bowl, game tape, combine and measurables I truly hope skins FO and others are looking at these guys medicals. The rate of injury over the years are insane and I hope we are smart about some of the ailments these guys are experiencing. Especially the DT type guys. 6’3″ – 6’4″ 320LB types. A lot on the joints, etc.
a lot of teams have the same issues as us
product of the size of the players these days
as much as we hate on the old Chip Kelly style of metrics, maybe we decide to employ something like that at Ashburn. Have these guys wear the fitbits , etc and monitor heart rates, sugar levels, etc to begin colleting data on why/how these guys burnout so quickly. Adjust lower body workouts in conjunction with nutrition based on body composition. IDK. Something other than the norm..
Chip Kelly was terrible at the GM side of things in Philly.

if you’re at work be considerate to workmates
do not fat finger your mouse
the squealing is very annoying
It’s inappropriate to finger any animals in the workplace.
Had a nice twitter moment last night. Some blog or other was pimping the HOF voting site and telling people to go vote for Jacoby. The replies started pouring in about how great Jake was, how he was the true leader of the hogs, etc.
My reply was “Don’t forget Bobby Beathard!”
Only one person liked that reply. But since that one person was Joe Jacoby, I feel pretty good about it π
If he gets in this year, we’ll have him back on the show to congratulate him. We love Joe, but he’s done the show twice already, and the first interview in particular has really been heard alot.
Were you the only one on the interviews who actually remembers watching him play? π
Kelly, were you already gone when we talked to him? I’ve forgotten. Alex remembers the 1991 Super Bowl team, though, so no.
gosh! you’re almost famous.
I was more famous in Canada π
well infamous…
my wife does fund-raising for a small christian school up the street. she got joe jacoby to be the main speaker (don’t laugh) at some big gala they’re having in march or april. i met him last year at some other event they had. very, very nice guy.
nice
Maybe a post about the senior bowl?
We’re thinking about that. If we do that, it’ll be next week. We have something else planned for tomorrow.
Nice
Do tell
It is going to be the return of Chris Larry to the Hog Sty blog, for the first time in years. He’s been doing our It’s Just Business show, but this will be his first written piece.
Haven’t heard from him in ages
I thought that old fool was dead. LOL
He stopped by the blog about 4-5 nights ago.
Clearly none of you have listened to the show yet this morning.
Show!??
That explains the surprisingly small amount of text for an article
If Noone goes internet silent for a few days, we know what’s up.
I’d love to, but work and all. Gotta make Alex transcribe that jone! Keep him busy. π
We actually tried that for one of our very early interviews, but it was way too much hassle.
What you just can say “Siri transcribe my podcast and post it to the web”?
you can contract that out for about $120 / hr live, less if off line
I can be online, typing at work, but listening to a podcast would be problematic.
It was pretty good. Nice job.
Listening to a one hour podcast would seriously cut into my blogging time.
Can’t you all post a quick hits from the podcast?
We have enough to do without taking that on on a regular basis.
Sounds like you need a Rally the Sty podcast
I don’t understand why they can’t figure out how to listen to the show with earphones and blog at the same time…..
Steve, did you delete your own post?
No.
Weird, your previous comment went blank (Still looks like a post is there, but its blank with no reply, etc. buttons). Probably just need to refresh.
Hit the + sign on the right, fumble mouser
You’re right! I fat-fingered that mouse!
Stage one of banishment, Mr. Steve’s posts disappear.
Clearly, you’re wrong.
I said that because we pimped this comment section as a great place to come talk Redskins.
Ah, aimed high…. ended up with Robert Griffin. Gotcha.
Tbf, we’ve only now moved past the “Philadelphia is deplorable” section.
To be fair, this is a reading audience that has been migrated from WaPo over here and asked to partake in a listening post. Not all readers are listeners. I’m gonna give it a listen, though, once I’ve got an hour or so to myself. Most of my days are spent on the couch next to the wife, helping with the baby and watching shows together until new parent leave is up π

Bought a guy some street tacos for lunch from the Food Truck
a little pricey, but they were good
regional food sampler from NE/Philly
that’s a solid line-up. who’s the kicker?
Good to see you Noone.
That is a nice menu. We are having Cheesestakes and Clam Chowder too. Might have to steal a few of your other ideas too.

i think the eagles and cowboys are the only teams that would cause me to root for the patriots* in a super bowl. maybe, possibly the giants, but for some reason i don’t hate them like i do the cowboys and eagles.
_________________
May I remind you of Capgate spear-headed by Mara? How the F can’t you hate the Gnats after that?
i know, i know. still, i guess there are levels of hate. if the giants were playing anyone but the patriots*, i’d root against them. (also, maybe the steelers)
I don’t think it is close. Go Pats.
Sure, they’re cheaters and they are obnoxious and they win too much. But they aren’t the Cowboys, Giants or Eagles. Nuff said.
Happy Friday eve!
Charlie Casserly all in on Mayfield. Good stuff. If Skins were to get so lucky… thats how I’d start to catch the Eagles. Rudolph and maybe Mayfield wont play Saturday…
I wish I could feel even the least bit optimistic about Mayfield. Maybe he’s Brees w/ the swagger of Farve.
But I see Colt McCoy with the cluelessness of Johnny Manziel. I’ll gladly eat hit the Crow Buffet if I’m wrong.
i think his non-football “problems” are way different from manziel’s – much more easily addressed/curtailed.
me too, but that might be an insult to Colt.
If he is Manziel you swing again. I mean how bad is an organization that has blown 7 or 8 attempts at a QB since him? Not the end of the world even if it is Washington
There is McSorley and Grier next year perhaps for beginners if your guy isn’t there this year. Cant panic.
Ugh. Another first round QB next year? I can see it happening though as New Coach will want “his guy.”
No. Not 1st round 2 years straight. IF you cant draft your guy …dont draft a QB high if you not sold.
Ok. That makes more sense. You’re Armchair GM rights are restored, QGC!
Lol. I should explain my statements way more in depth I admit. My bad.
http://www.reactiongifs.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/08/no-answer.gif
I LOVE Mayfield’s competitive temperament. Makes good adjustments. I could see him pitch a few ugly games, but there’s no quit in his competitiveness. With Mayfiels, I see a QB who will want to go for the throat on every series.
Same. W’s
Eagles fans are getting a bad rap because a couple of lowlifes punched police horses at the last two playoff games. But not everybody who loves the NFC champs are animal-abusing drunkards. Some are quite rich, successful and famous, and as proof, here is a list of the dozens of celebrity Eagles fans.

Another “fun” article :
http://www.nj.com/eagles/index.ssf/2018/01/super_bowl_2018_xx_celebrity_philadelphia_eagles_f.html
Nice try, but I ain’t buyin’ it….they’re ALL deplorables.
I’ve never heard of 90 percent of the “celebrities” in the article.
Joe Biden is deplorable…….
except him
No, your original statement stands.
MWAHAHAHA!
KELLYANNE CONWAY
Kellyanne Conway compared her favorite NFL team to her boss in the White House. “I’ll just say that the underdog here is the Eagles, and you know me, I love an underdog.”
“Bitch said what?!” – BB
She loves to be under a dog? wait, what?
Bow wow wow Yippy yo Yippy yay
Well, she is a bitch.
she needs to get back to the set of “walking dead” right away. they’re about to film a big walker scene.
Read an article in Rolling Stone (I think) years ago that said Pink was from Baltimore and frequently partied in DC, 9:30 club, ect. Wikipedia says she’s a Philly native……….file that under: wow, who cares.
so…. we’re sort of, kind of, maybe thinking about having a super bowl party. might have philly cheese steaks and boston clam chowder. 2 solid choices, imo.
any other philly/boston-related foods?
Baked beans?
Not the best combination, IMO.
yeah…. might not go together, but each is great on its own. if we do have a party, i suspect people will also bring stuff, so…. who knows what we would end up with?
Diarrhea? Lol, j/k
that’s monday’s problem – which, by the way should be a national holiday. either that, or they should play the super bowl on saturday. duh!
NFL won’t change to Saturdays…that would make too much sense.
Lobstah
with buttah! yum, yum, yum.
Deep DL draft upcoming
Seems lacking in WR talent
Top end WR talent
While looking for eagles GIFs, I found out that flounder moonlights as a Raiders fan.
http://i.imgur.com/GFz8TTR.gif
Took me a sec to understand what you were talking about. That’s funny.
Smokey be like “what’s this mofo talkin’ ’bout? Flounder ain’t Mexican.”
eye saw it wright away. eye always get throne off bye bad spelling.
Is this dude fake, or what? #cockeyedJoe
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qGvhCbWednQ
Yeah, Fake. But also funny.
His eyes crack me up. Imagine that motherfucker trying to step to you, looking like that. LMFAO
I ain’t lying. I have the same exact house shoes, which he calls flip-flops, in my closet.
–Su’a
Lol
Watching him makes me feel so confident in our youth! lmao
Yeah.
I lived in Philly from 1985-1988
I was Redskins to the bone…couldn’t care less about the Eagles.
A fun article:
We went ahead and came up with 27 things (one for each of Tom Bradyβs playoff victories, of course) that Boston should get rid of before the big game. Thereβs no messing around when it comes to the Super Bowl.

btg, turn your head.
Hope you stub your toe
Badly
Philadelphia Cream Cheese is (derives its name from the area in) from New York (State)
I cannot, and will not “root” for a division rival.
That is exactly where I’m at.
Living up here you would find a way
….even though some of my close, and dear friends live in Philly and surrounding areas and a SB would mean a lot to them.
I still can’t.
You went to school there, eh?
I went to Villanova.
Hated the Eagles then. Hate them even more now.
That’s where I’m at. Plus, peeps love to hate on winners…Go Patriots.
I have a deep dislike for both Phil and NE…DEEP. So…I will not be watching the SB for fun, but rather for the half-time show. Yeah! That’s the ticket.
But really, I’m gonna pull for the, I hate to say it–the pats.
Show me da money. A few dimes and quarters on the pats, so there’s that.
Definitely want the Patriots to win!
Fly eagles fly
Greg’s Pit of Misery = Boston the day after the Pats demolish Philly.
Dilly Dilly
I just can’t pull for a division rival. I will say, I’m a big fan of Carson Wentz. He’s obviously talented, but he’s such a good kid too. Still, Eagles…no fuggin way
The one I hate the most is whichever one’s playing.
D_C’s bypolar, all- defense Superbowl.
Appalachian State G Austin Corbettβs power has been impressive. He has no issues anchoring and absorbing power in the trenches while showing the ability to move defensive lineman out of gaps in run reps. I am anxious to study his film.
Georgia OL Isaiah Wynn has arguably been the most impressive offensive lineman here. Transitioning from outside at tackle to guard, Wynn has looked comfortable and natural. His ability to handle the action quicker inside has been a non-issue and his ability to anchor and stone pass rushers has been obvious. Wynn is proving that heβs a natural fit at guard.
Humboldt State OL Alex Cappa absolutely looks like he belongs with the best of the best. He is a nasty blocker that moves better than his frame suggests he should. He finishes blocks with a whole lot of nasty intentions.
North Carolina A&T OT Brandon Parker is arguably the most physically impressive looking player in Mobile and took a major step forward from Day 1 to Day 2. His ability to leverage his hips at 6072, 303 is impressive.
I’d be happy with choosing one of these guys. Build the lines please!!
Chase Roullier, part deux
which one?
Corbett
Corbett, Wynn, Cappa(?) Parker(?)
Cappa’s understandably raw, but he has problems against speed and inside moves. I’m sure Callahan would do wonders for him.
Wynn is definitely pushing Hernandez for OG2. Either would be a huge upgrade.

That’s 700lbs being squatted by Kentavious Street
dude asked if he could work in during my squat set this morning, so I let him
….he immediately asked me to add more plates – Mike
π
I was warming up
Plus, he’s gonna be famous, don’t wanna kill his confidence. Good on you, Mike! Classy move.
Did someone mention plates?

Lots of Day 2 observations:

Thanks, Poona is regaining ground, then. Penny better learn to pass block if he wants a second look from Jay.
Hernandez, Cappa
Jones and Hill repp’n for Wolfpack.
No ty on Poona…
i think the eagles and cowboys are the only teams that would cause me to root for the patriots* in a super bowl. maybe, possibly the giants, but for some reason i don’t hate them like i do the cowboys and eagles.
“The studβfrom any position on either teamβthe stud of the week was going to be Nathan Shepherd, DT outta Fort Hays State. His second practice picked up right where his first left offβa bevy of rush moves, all well-executed, as he terrorized one-on-one drills.
But then he broke his hand.
With Shepherd out of the picture, Virginia DT Andrew Brown has first dibs on the vacuum that needs filling. Playing at his more natural 3-tech after wallowing away in the Cavaliersβ two-gapping system, Brown has had some truly special reps this week, slashing into gaps and blowing OL off the ball with power and speed.”
The asteroid didn’t get a mention?
The asteroid was stricken from the record, FYI.
That’s messed up. Ya bastids.
Listen to the show, slacker!
No ticky no laundry!
Fahken fiyah fightahs ah fahken qweahz.
Austin Ford had a better day two at the senior bowl
As I said previously Kentavious Street
Give him a look
Street is good. I just don’t think you can lose with Ford, especially if you get him in the 4th-5th round.
As I’ve mentioned earlier, the only way to evaluate Ford is by looking at his film.
Show Bruce Allen the door, or remove him from all personnel decisions. Hire Mike Mayock as GM.
in the end the POPFI has say in personnel decisions, even if Mike Mayock was GM
Day 2 Winners from the Senior Bowl:
https://www.ndtscouting.com/tuls-day-2-winners-2018-senior-bowl/
If the Eagles win, I will be happy for Nick Foles. Local Austin kid, who beat Drew Brees’s records at Westlake High School.
OTOH, the Schadenfreude in me would like to see Philly build a huge lead, only to have it taken away by Brady.
Yeah, that shit sucks.
-Matt Ryan
i can’t believe i’m going to be rooting for the patriots*. the freakin’ patriots*!
Mayfield’s footwork reminds me of Tom Brady. He bounces around as he scans the field, then sets and releases. I like that.
Rosen has some of that, too.
We should trade up for him!
Falk is very accurate when he keeps his steps in check, slides away from pressure well considering he’s been labeled immobile.
Its funny i googled bloody eagles fan. Looking for the pic from Sunday…. theres a lot of pics that come up
lots of red and green, huh? christmas spirit?
There is no Christmas in Philadelphia.
Philly=Pit of Misery
Philthy-Philthy!
Rudolph is super good at progressions and reading defense.
Yeah I think he is the guy we get.
Is he relatively accurate?
Yes, more so, than less.
he has a nose for such things?
Too bad, ’cause BA’s not going to let play in reindeer games … err, Redskins games.
π
Nice show, thanks guys.
Jackson is underrated
Jackson is way farther along with his mechanics than he gets credit for. Peeps that make a rg3 connection simply aren’t watching.
RG3 problem wasn’t mechanics
Whatever
Jackson is way farther along in every way, than RG3. fixed it.
Other than the mechanics of: (1) taking the number of steps required on the applicable drop back pass, (2) sliding, (3) the jump throw and (4) footwork (which were repeatedly pointed out as being awful).
that ain’t why he isn’t on a team
Rudolph or Jackson or Falk.
Ideal scenario for me:
Mason Rudolph, who grew up as a Redskins fan, signs and picks up Jay’s system to a tee. After a season (or several games) behind Colt, he takes the reins and never relinquishes them.
He lives his dream of playing for the Redskins, signs a LTD at the end of his rookie contract, and gets 3+ rings over his 15 year, record-setting career.
Basically, I want a QB who proudly wants to be a Redskin.
Sure, so the “heart” requirement is met.
Yeah, instead they’ve got a guy who wants to play “wherever he’s loved”.
Amen

According to @TonyPauline, the word around at the Senior Bowl is that Kirk Cousins is expected to command a salary in excess of $25M. He’s looking for a deal that at minimum rivals or exceeds Matthew Stafford’s five-year/$135M extension that he signed in August.
Ice Cube says……….
Wait……so Hogsty isn’t creditable? Wtf?
KIRK SCHMIRK, FUCK THAT GUY
Keith Marshall kept trying to take it outside… doesn’t work like college.
Yβall my dudes but an hour? Imma need abridged version
IMO, that’s correct. You have to draft for Gruden, so to speak.
Mat Jones, to me, was more a Scot vision.
Sure, that’s what we’re missing, but Jay Gruden may disagree.
Wild West….. π
Fire Milton! Lol
He’d only beat you if the blitz didn’t get home.
The term you’re searching for is “Masshole”.
If you replace their complaining with boasting…..it won’t be better. NO RING!
Here’s what inspired the “Secret Society” rumor that some in the GOP are pushing:

Never the eagles, let Rome live one more day.
k0n, you have to vote again…..no asteroid.
Could he ever sing?………
Yay, Philly bashing!
