Roster Moves: Redskins waive 2
April 13, 2018
by Steve Thomas
The Redskins announced today that they have waived linebacker Otha Peters and safety Orion Stewart. For salary cap purposes, both players were covered under the NFL’s Rule of 51 and thus their waiver will have no effect on the salary cap.
With these moves, the Redskins now have 7 inside linebackers and 6 safeties remaining on the roster.

RIP R. Lee Ermey
…you disgusting fat body
i’d like to murder the two guys on the Sonic commercials.
Stab them to death with a frozen hotdog?
I like this red barn in Ohio.
Well, she’s down Buck.
Yep.
Here comes our tornado warnings
Check your radar, bubba. I pray it misses you.
Little west of me . Suffolk , franklin . 58 corridor
won’t work…
-wif
wif would have been prayin’ to somebody…
i’m not a believer myself, but it’s funny when some lose their damn mind over a turn of phrase.
Yeah, and believer or not, certain situations make anybody pray.
been there
I like the way that land runs right up to the creek with the ridge behind it.
there’s a gun range right around the bend. Anybody can go use it .
That doesn’t sound safe – D_C
That whole area is like you went back in time 50 years .
I know, I’m right here, lol
yeah. Greenbrier WV not far from there . That’s a neat place . Lots of rumors about secret government shit and nuclear missile silos , bunkers
Apple Orchard mountain
http://www.radomes.org/museum/documents/BedfordAFSVA082002.html
There’s a compound up here, don’t fuck around back there.
We get flyovers all the time.
This one is FCC now, USAF moved out in 1975.
Those are all over the place in South Carolina
Maker’s Mark gives you the math-free protractor, lol
See that big-ass stinkbug?
see that old house beside it ? That was a friend of mines who died suddenly of a heart attack. His wife made the decision to get rid of the barn. Huge family squabble and rift now .
Yeah, it gets like that 🙁
I have beams like that in my basement, cut from a solid red oak log.
rough cut stuff is beautiful
Yeah, you should see the checking, I put fishing lures in them
This house is framed from what was on the land, oak, white pine, poplar. It’s conventional framed but all rough cut. Sometimes you can’t get the 20penny nails out, just gotta cut them off flush.
People on Facebook saying they found the child’s body down the road near a mile from where his house was. Social media is something. Local news is nowhere to be found.
That’s bad . Hope it not true .
You know where Elon is, right?
The college ?
‘
No, it’s a little town down towards Lynchburg. A tornado just tore it all to hell.
No . not familiar
They’re saying they shut down route 130.
What channel is it on, Buck?
DIY network
That doesn’t help
Verizon 167
I found it, 230 on DirecTV
been in that blacksmith shop . Pitched a tent right beside it .
I like the brickwork around the windows.
just behind that is a running stream . On the other side of the stream is an old iron mine cave . They showed it at the beginning .
barnwood builders
Let’s do it Buck… you and me… barnwood builders business 😉
sounds good. this is the episode I was talking about . Camped out behind this barn when we went kayaking .
been waiting months too see this .
Watching it now… pretty cool
i watch enough Bar Rescue, i ought to open one.

You in the clear?
I’m seeing Facebook stuff about a tornado that touched down about 20 miles south of here, destroyed a few houses and a child missing. Another one in Piney River, shits getting real. God bless the blue ridge mountains!
News reporting 100mph tornado hit the western side of Lynchburg, tore shit up. That’s in the city.
I think a Starbucks got choke-slammed
That’s gotta be an SNL skit right?
watching that Alzado show reminds me of how good pro football really was in the ’80’s, and not just ’cause the ‘Skins were good. glad i was around for that era.

My cellphone just blew up, tornado warning in this area……. goodbye hamsters.
watch out for flying monkeys, and if you douse the witch in water, she’ll melt. you’re welcome.
Thanks man, I can’t find my fucking red heels!
Ruby slippers.
Yeah, lol
Be safe
I’m watching the radar, it’s kinda skirting us right now. Thanks.

R-E-L-A-C-K-S – flounder
watchin’ Lyle Alzado’s Football Life. start the show showing him going up against Jacoby. holy shit, that’s a battle.
why is that a battle? I mean JJ’s not even a Hall of Famer! Extreme sarcasm font
if Jacoby and Jerry Smith could get enshrined, i’d be happy.
Round 1 Pick 24 (CAR): Hernandez, Will, OG, Texas-El Paso (A)
Round 2 Pick 12: Evans, Rashaan, OLB/ILB, Alabama (A)
Round 2 Pick 23 (CAR): Johnson, Kerryon, RB, Auburn (A-)
Round 3 Pick 21 (CAR): Nnadi, Derrick, DT, Florida State (A+)
Round 3 Pick 23 (LAR): Yiadom, Isaac, CB, Boston College (A+)
Round 4 Pick 9: Cain, Deon, WR, Clemson (A+)
Round 4 Pick 11 (LAR): Fatukasi, Folorunso, DT, Connecticut (B+)
Round 5 Pick 5: Fumagalli, Troy, TE, Wisconsin (A+)
Round 5 Pick 26: Hill, Holton, CB, Texas (A+)
Round 6 Pick 14: Harrison, Desmond, OT, West Georgia (A+)
Round 7 Pick 13: Wims, Javon, WR, Georgia (A+)
Round 7 Pick 23: Kalu, Joshua, FS, Nebraska (A)
Unrealistic.
the second trade, yes the one you see with “CAR” is pretty unrealistic, prob either the 2nd or 3rd round pick, but not both. but I think the general points can be argued that you don’t need to go round the bend looney if they don’t pick a DT or RB or OG at 13. What is a problem though, is not having more 2nd day picks. Not having a 3rd hurts what one would like to do in this draft.
Putting it mildly
casual minimalist sarcasm in it’s purist form.
Round 1 Pick 13 (13) (WASH) Ravens: James, Derwin (SS/FS) Florida State
Round 1 Pick 16 (16) (BALT) Panthers: Jackson, Josh (CB) Iowa
I might see someone making the Baltimore trade to get James, but for Josh Jackson?
Raise your hand if you see the Redskins jump at the chance to draft a nose tackle, and the second 1st rd defensive lineman in a row, despite Jay’s repeated talk about wanting “impact players” in rd 1. I get Vea – run stuffer, stud, strong – but I just have an unsupportable feeling that somehow the Redskins will go another direction.
I agree. Usually, based on totally fake mockery prog fake evals, you can get some good upgrade and added rotation to the DL in the 2nd-4th rounds. Theoretically mocking. And I don’t think they see a more traditional NT as a priority draft need ever because he would not play that much. Is Vita the exception in that he’s not a trad NT? I always fakery two college DT for the line, one a DT moving to DE and one who’s a bit bigger but not 330 lbs who will roll inside or backup Ioannidis.
Vea would be my choice but I could definitely see us going with Guice, James, Fitzpatrick, or even Payne.
Boehner getting paid for trying to legalize weed. I understand the hypocrisy and the nonsense of it but I don’t really care as long as it becomes legal or at least decriminalized. Way too much money is spent arresting people for possession of marijuana
I think the criminal penalties need to be much harsher than they are now.
I think we should actually enforce laws already on the fucking books.
That’d be nice, too. Let’s start there.
I didn’t know you were against the hippie lettuce
I am just anti-crybabies
I think there are too many laws already on the fucking books
they would need to be on the demand side for sure if one were going to win a “war” on weed, but that is probably not very pragmatic. what one should do is punish the performance metric. if you get caught going 7 mph in a 55, you get 500 hours of community service, and a 10% wage penalty for six months, and no coffee.
Weed is much less harmful than alcohol.
Should be treated just like booze, IMO. Legal for adults, but stiff penalties for DUI.
https://twitter.com/HankJoness/status/985550249921056768
Bullock sat in on the “Locked on NFL Draft” podcast to cover the Skins’ No. 13 pick. In the mock they did both Fitzpatrick and James were gone and Vea, Payne, and Guice were still on the board. Bullock chose Guice for the Redskins in what can only be described as an act of war and the end of the fabled “Special Relationship.” Vita if by land or Vea if by sea!
Do you ever go outside?
(hint : no)

Round 2 Pick 16 (LAC): Corbett, Austin, OG, Nevada (A-)
Round 4 Pick 9: Hines, Nyheim, RB, North Carolina State (A+)
Round 5 Pick 5: Ford, Poona, DT, Texas (B)
Round 5 Pick 26: Wilson, Cedrick, WR, Boise State (B+)

Round 7 Pick 23: Hassenauer, JC, C, Alabama (A)
Nice 2nd rounder there, buckaroo
All in for Nick Saban in 2019!
Lol
Shut the fuck up with your poona you bitch
Poona is a fairy.
What he is is a probably an UDFA. He’ll get a shot with a team, for sure, but I think drafting him in round 5 isn’t wise.
Please. I go to Starbucks all the time and literally buy nothing. I’m there to use free WiFi or meet people who may not may not also buy anything. sad world we live in that’s rationalized at all…
I guess it depends on whether you’re white or black
I’ve never been hassled in any Starbucks, Panera, etc.
it’s incredibly sad.

I watched the video on Twitter. Judging from the reactions of other patrons, it appears that those two guys were just sitting there, not doing anything. We don’t know how long they were there, so barring them being there for an extended period of time or doing something that we don’t know about, it appears to me that the call to the police by Starbucks came most likely because some employee got scared when he/she saw 2 black guys sitting there; ie race-based. Sad.
Now, as to why they got arrested, my first thought was that they either had warrants or maybe mouthed – off to the cops, because it’s hard for me to believe that’d they’d get arrested for either trespass or loitering based on these facts. Maybe disregarding police instructions, disturbing the peace. Seems to me to be overzealous policing if there were no other facts. Sometimes police take a hypertechnical view of the elements of a crime instead of using their heads and looking at the totality of the circumstances, and this appears to me to be one of those times. Unless there’s more to it than we know.
If there is more, it’s almost certainly going to be that the 2 guys mouthed – off and/or argued, and if that’s the case, that’s on them. But I haven’t seen those facts yet.
Ok gents, this is how we get the judge to want a smoke/gin and tonic break. Court is adjourned until I catch a good buzz in my chambers, peace!

Unhinged
Democrats keep minorities in poverty so they can blame it on the Republicans and keep them voting Democrat
Still the party of racism… just much more subversive and sneaky about it. They’d have us believe that, somehow, the political roles were reversed. It simply isn’t so… but they’ve been brilliant in convincing people so.
Unhinged
when is the last time the GOP did anything to help the poor or minorities?
are you feeling bloated and clogged ? Have a sausage McMuffin with egg and a cup of coffee . Relief will be forthcoming and soon.
Chipped beef gravy on toast. SOS
That stuff is so gross
Rarely eat McDonalds , so I should have known . It’s the only fast food game in town so anything else is not quick .
McDonalds is one of my guilty pleasures.
For breakfast, it’s hard to beat a sausage egg & cheese biscuit at McDonalds.
Everything else sucks. Fortunately Austin has a local chain., P. Terry’s that serves amazingly fresh product with hand cut fries on a McDonald’s budget. What ever they’re doing it’s fantastic for the price.
https://scontent-dfw5-1.xx.fbcdn.net/v/t1.0-9/16143210_1423504410995076_67046081172753893_n.jpg?_nc_cat=0&oh=689049806292fee8384a9d825d256ab8&oe=5B6B1BEF
Clogging my arteries just looking at it , but it does look good
Yeah, double bacon cheeseburger with fries. And the burger is juicy, not like the cardboard taste of McDonald’s burgers.
You can almost see that just looking at it . It looks juicy
5 guys hard to beat for a juicy burger .
The same meal at 5 guys cost me $14
Yeah , they aren’t cheap.
5 Guys is my favorite. IN n Out is the big one around here… but I prefer 5 Guys
Austin has something like 12 P.Terry’s locations, and they’re all busy. That meal set me back $8.00. Pretty reasonable for the quality.
never even heard of it , but if I ever run across one , I will try it.
Sorry, P.Terry’s is growing slowly. Just Austin-based.
If you don’t mind waiting lines and a $10 burger, Hopdoddy is a step up. Meat is fresh ground on premises and very juicy.
https://www.texasmonthly.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/12/hopdoddy-burger_0.jpg
And when I watch Redskins games at the Black Sheep Lodge with about 60-100 other diehard Redskins fans, it’s hard to beat their burger.

I’m getting hungry.
Getting ready to say , glad i’m not hungry at the moment .
The Noble Pig is right around the corner from me. Decadent sandwiches. Featured on “Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives”. Everything, including their bacon is cured on premises.
https://images.scrippsnetworks.com/up/tp/Scripps_-_Food_Category_Prod/668/791/0189657_16x9.jpg
I’ve had Zinburger, and a $13 burger wasn’t significantly better than Wendy’s, and it took as long as if I ordered an actual entre’.
depends on how long the burger has been sitting, every once in awhile, you’ll get a fresh burger from McD and it’s pretty good. that’s why I like Wendy’s, always fresh off the grill, but the problem is, if there is any line at all in a drive-thru, it’s going to take forever.
I only eat 3 things at McD… Sausage McMuffin with Egg, Quarter Pounder, and, of course, the fries straight from God
since they changed their grease for cooking fries, I don’t like them. They used to be the best
that looks cooked and fried, not fresh
It’s delicious.
my wfe considers mcdonald’s her hangover cure. pretty much the only time she eats mcdonalds’s is saturday am…. “egg mcmuffinn” contains some magic elixer, apparently.
If Starbucks tell you to leave and you don’t
then Starbucks tell the Police you are trespassing and you refuse the police telling to leave
it’s not the police’s fault when they arrest you
it’s Starbucks and your own dumb ass
now on the other side I think Starbucks were idiots asking the to leave
Why did they claim they asked him to leave?
the two black fellows were waiting for a friend and they did not buy anything
Whelp… that’s not good.
Loitering? Businesses have a right to ask people that are loitering to leave. I have been asked to leave before.
The black Philly police chief said the police have to enforce the law even if people think it is not fair
the two guys also went all verbal over the police
understand their frustration but it is not the police’s problem
Starbucks is the owner and the Police have to do what they are asked to do if it is within the law
Not gonna go over well either way
Horseshit, exemplified

I wonder what the penalty will be from the Eagles or the NFL.
It might not be necessary if he gets locked up. Found passed out in car, had to be tased, gun found at scene… in Philly
I wonder what he will be charged with, other than being combative with police?
He’s black… probably get the chair
Hahaha
I see what you’re doing my friend you are stirring the pot on Sunday morning!
Hey, it’s what I do!!!
So will they charge him with first degree black or second degree black?
Probably charge him with Attempted Murder
That’s a tuesday!
“My understanding is that it is likely, though not certain, that the Eagles will release cornerback Daryl Worley. Discussions being held among various parties,” Les Bowen of Philly.com tweeted after the Eagles’ statement.
my guess is 2 or 4 game suspension and it will be hard to find a team who wants to sign him
at his level of the NFL that can be a career killer kind of move
Didn’t they actually trade for him?
yeah with some guy there were going to cut anyway

I’m ready for someone to push that character off a cliff. Haven’t been this annoyed since Scrappy-Doo.
annoying but an excellent sociopath
Hey k0n, what’s the date for the season premiere of Taboo? I see they’re playing season 1 right now.
It’s BBC, which tends to take years between seasons. Not date has been announced.
Expect 2019
Usually they run the previous season just before the new one comes out.
When it’s released on dvd/blu-ray…is when shows appear on Netflix and Amazon.
On regular television, as with G.O.T., Vikings, ect. They run through a marathon of the previous season to give peeps a refresher, just before they drop the new premier.
Yep
I just looked it up, Jan 2019. Perfect, right in the heart of our Superbowl run.

Personally… I think we should never let a career politician be President again. Should be law
______________________________________
I disagree. I will trust the “right kind” of career politician over an outsider any day. A career politician understands how the machinations of government work and have the network of relationships already in place to move things forward.
I consider John McCain to be a “career” politician (post-military service, of course) and I thought he would have made an excellent President. Much more so than the exceptionally and historically under-qualified amateur “outsider” that sadly won the TV beauty pageant over/against him and set the US back a generation in a number of key ways.
Going with someone who has never held any office at all, is certainly showing to be a lot less than ideal.
Didn’t say “never been in office”
I didn’t say that you did.
You just said “never held an office”
I said “career politician”
Right.
So…what’s your point here? Because again, what I remarked on is that a president with zero experience holding an office is showing to be a lot less than ideal. Simple observation. Nothing to do with anything you said about not allowing a career politician in the White House.
And I was basically agreeing with you saying my comment wasn’t meant to be someone completely bereft of experience. Why are you always so contradictory?
Why am I?
lol
Gotta go dude. I’ll catch ya later on.
I can’t wait

Drunken boobies are a lot of fun.
I see you put the emphasis on “right”
Sure, he understands the machinations of government… which seems to be utterly contemptable and corrupt. I don’t agree with the theory “The ends justify the means.” I want someone that has to go back and operate under the laws they instigate… not someone steeped in the corrupt soup of sausage making. Along with this law should be FULL governmental term limits… you can’t hop from one political position to another for life, and no special favors for life after serving.
I don’t see 10-18 years as a “career politician.” I’m talking Nancy Pelosi, Chuck Shumer, Mitch McConnell types… the types that never leave.

To truncate… John Kerry said we got rid of 100% of Syria’s chemical weapons.
_____________________________
Kerry: Did you guys get rid of ALL those chemical weapons?
Putin and Assad: Yes.
Kerry: Promise?
Putin and Assad: Pinky swear and cross our hearts!
Kerry: OK, good enough for me; glad that’s settled.
You can’t trust villains like Assad, unfortunately, but what are you gonna do? It’s impossible to guarantee 100% compliance. The good news is that Assad did turn over, and we did destroy, a shit-ton of nerve gas.
We faced the same dilemma with Saddam. The Bush administration refused to believe that Iraq complied and as a result, decided to invade the country. Turns out the Iraqis had complied.
Damned if you do and damned if you don’t.

you can’t use bleach to make chlorine gas, that concentration of chlorine is much high
also it requires specialized shells to disperse the gas
You can buy chlorine gas at some pool supply stores.
Not since the country wide ban on pools
Brine, you mean.
Good first episode.
Night kiddies…
Later
I’m out too. Glad we got that shit resolved amicably.
Just want to put THIS out there for all of you that constantly site Politifact as some bastion of truth:
http://www.politifact.com/john-kerry-syria-archive/
There is only one person that uses that link.
To truncate… John Kerry said we got rid of 100% of Syria’s chemical weapons. Politifact rated it Mostly True…
Some pretty porous borders over there. Whose to say that chemical weapons like chlorine gas were brought across the border from Iraq, used in a town and then the blame placed fully on Assad?
Wait… I thought Iraq had no weapons of mass destruction either?
How hard is it to make chlorine?
Well which is it? Did they get it from Iraq who had none or did Syria make it?
ELECTRIFYING!
That’s right. I forgot about the ban on bleach. My bad.
Cheater
Good god….don’t be dense. You can’t just make military grade chemical weapons in your garage.
I have a hard time taking anyone seriously that laughs at Reagan being a good President and thinks Obama was anything other than almost completely incompetent.
How can you take a person like that serious?
There are men in my family that made it their life’s work to defeat the U.S.S.R. and the spread of Communism, I respect their opinion of world leaders far more than that of any person on this blog. Any person.
There are men in my family who grew up dirt poor and built a fortune, who fought in wars, who served in the military… I respect their opinions far more than anyone on this blog…
…but I still have my own opinions. (and sometimes they’re pretty fucked up)
That’s great, in that context, so do the people up here that say Reagan was no good, doesn’t mean those opinions are worth a second’s consideration.
They give you a unique insight into the way they think. So in that aspect you should give them much consideration… and then keep in mind that those people are going to vote.
I can’t control how they think, it’s too far gone at this point, we’re entering the next chapter, for better or for worse. The progressive liberal ideology is at least three generations strong, now. They teach our children, they dismantle our history, brick by brick, and re-lay it to suite their agenda. Just as our corporations were loose whores for China, not keeping their legs crossed as China raped our engineering databases, all for a dollar, so have we been with our future generations.
Luckily there are plenty of smart people with a respect for actual history still around… the pendulum always swings. People get wiser, too. Liberalism is for the young… the smart ones grow out of it.
What person is that?
Now, I know I remarked on both Reagan and Obama. But see…I didn’t say anything like what you’re mentioning here.
So clearly, you’re not referring to me.
Personally… I think we should never let a career politician be President again. Should be law
On the bright side, mid-term elections are coming. As long as Trump keeps stepping on his dick, it will be ugly for the GOP.
It has made a lot of career politicians quit. Self imposed term limits. Can’t beat that!

This rarely works, and doesn’t work at all against conquerors.
But that’s how diplomacy works without strength… and since diplomacy can work without strength why would you ever use strength?
…but he doesn’t see it.
I don’t believe in that philosophy, nor do I believe in Mr. Steve’s world police philosophy. Kill people that threaten you, absorb people that align with you.
Here’s the flaw I see in exacting mass casualties, especially in conflicts that never threatened our national security.
If you were the lone survivor of the mass murder of your family, relatives and friends, how would you spend the rest of your life?
I think it’s reasonable to assume that you would do everything to exact maximum revenge, at the cost of martyrdom.
And that shit is happening every day. Need to re-think what we’re doing.
I don’t disagree with that
This has nothing to do with what I said. Very sweet, but irrelevant.

We didn’t cross the river.
And in France, and contrary to the lockstep Eisenhower schlep rock tools, in the Philippines.
How would diplomacy work without strength?
It wouldn’t.
Hammer!
Here’s a geopolitical fact for you to comprehend, if you are able: big countries with big roles in the security and economic well-being of the globe have to be strong, not weak, and have to have the ability to use force when necessary.
It’s funny when hand-wringing lefties like you think that military guys are “hammers” or whatever insult you want to use. It’s our lives on the line, and guess what? Nobody ever wants to go and risk their lives and be away from their families if it’s not necessary, and that goes double for the folks who are front-line infantry and special forces types. They’re just willing to go when called.
Rather be the hammer than the nail…
Yes I would, if I only could, I surely would
Finally, common sense appears.
No one is threatening us. No reason to reach into the toolbox.
No one is threatening us?
I’m not sure what reality you live in
Assad is coming to get us!!!
I’m pretty sure we weren’t talking about Assad alone.
Sounds like we’re battling a bunch of straw men.
I’m simply asking questions… I’m not making any judgements
..and to be clear… I can’t believe we would ever be worried about Assad. But I DO believe that Israel is worried about Iranian influence and occupation right on it’s border.
And they are our allies
So Iran is next? Good plan.
Sounds like you really enjoyed last nights $200+million fireworks show. I say we take the cost of replenishment out of the Border Wall budget. What do you say, amigo?
I made a point about how our government thinks… has nothing to do with what I would do or what I prefer.
Or would you prefer gutting Social Security and Medicare?
Are we in imminent threat?
Is there an military invasion coming I’m not aware of?
We are not in an imminent threat because we fight all the battles in other peoples homes. I’m not for it mind you… just making the point. I’m typically against interventionist policies in other people’s countries. But I also don’t believe, at this point, if we just left everyone alone they’d leave us alone.
If you’re a hammer, you’re either driving nails, or sitting in the toolbox, but you were born for drivin’ nails.
To a hammer, everything looks like a nail.
Diplomacy works better with strength. But it’s not always about ramming your zero-sum agenda down someone’s throat. Exploring mutual areas of benefit isn’t a bad exercise.
So… we need the military to be strong?
Works great for Switzerland
Right, because we could wear those shoes…….pppfffft.
I would hope so… a country that size, located where it is doesn’t have a lot of other options…
Mutual respect. Not based on fear of harm…but because we have aligned interests and aren’t dicks about it.
That’s how.
Sure… worked great with the Nazi’s… all that mutual respect and aligned interests.
If the Nazis had arisen in today’s world, the isolationalists and liberal-leaning would’ve preached tolerance, and advocated for the U.S. to stay out of it.
Look man…before one more of you uses isolationists…look it up please.
MOATB
Can’t accept the truth, huh?
Look it up.
And while you’re at it….stop being that obtuse.
What is this, obvious statement day?
And that didn’t happen in yesterday’s world? The United States didn’t try to avoid becoming involved in the war with Nazi Germany?
Of course they did, some more than others, but neither were isolationists. You can blame France if you want, but that would be a waste of time. There are many levels to internationalism, throwing around the word Isolationists, doesn’t merit serious consideration, it’s flak, being flung into the sky, like so much harmless confetti, blubblubblub.
The Nazi juggernaut hasn’t been duplicated since, and they would have beat us in a heads up fight. We defeated the Soviets by out friending them, which was necessary, and worked. Does that mean that we’ve discovered the end-all of foreign policy strategies? I don’t think we have.
Nazis? lol.
We didn’t have aligned interests with the Nazis. They were assholes okay. Frankly, that’s just an awful response.
Do we have to threaten Europe? Japan? Australia?
Are any of them afraid of us? Hellz no.
Wait… so you’re saying sometimes strength and military might are neccesary?
Wait…are you thinking that somewhere in all of this I said having and using military is never necessary?
You’re so busy contradicting yourself I’m just trying to figure out, in all this mess that you have typed, what you actually mean.
I haven’t contradicted myself. What has happened however is lots of conclusions jumped to coupled with a good bit of a lack of full understanding of terms used.

For you leftists, sometimes world events require the leader of the free world to stand up against tyranny by sending the U.S. military. Syria has the potential to become a quagmire, but we can’t just stand idle as brutal dictators like Assad and Putin terrorize the world and murder civilians. Speaking as a former long time military guy, you hope that politicians are wise enough to establish clear objectives and reasonably minimize risk, but also strong enough to choose the right path. None are perfect. Carter and Clinton sure as heck weren’t. Reagan and 41 did a good job. 43 loved the military bur failed to take the right steps to end Iraq and Afghanistan quickly. 44 was just a modern liberal who didn’t understand, appreciate, or respect the military.
If you don’t think Assad used gas just because some news network hasn’t spelled it out for you, you’re hopelessly naive.
Until we can prove the each and every one of the Syrian refugees who some of you are begging to come here aren’t Muslim extremists, as far as I’m concerned they can go somewhere else, like to some of our allies who typically let us take all the military risk and spend the most money.
The past 3 administrations have been woefully inept at bringing conflicts to a solution. We’re at the 17 year mark with Iraq and Afghanistan. Now we are involved in Yemen, Somalia, Niger, and who knows where else. Now we’re proposing adding Syria and possibly Iran to the mix?
Fuck that. This military action bullshit is a major industry that needs to be fed. Next year the DOD will beg for another $1 Trillion to feed its habit.
DOD needs to under go a full audit as well.
DoD has an army of auditors.
All of whom are woefully inept.
You have zero idea whether that’s true or not. You want it to be true because you have an anti-military agenda.
We spend more than all of the other superpowers combined, and we can’t resolve squat. That’s an abject failure in my opinion.
Have your people sit it out next go-round.

I know
Helllooooooo?
Do you realize that the design of the B-52s goes back to 1947 and existing aircraft go back to the 60s? F-15s = 1970s technology and airframes (in some cases) that now have non-combat flight profile restrictions due to high flight hours? C-5 transports from the late 1960s and early 1970s that have so many hours on the airframes that civilians airliners would’ve retired them long ago? NImitz class carriers from the 1970s? Sub technology from the 1970s? KC-135 tankers from the early 1960s? You can’t just let the military fall into total disrepair, as much as peace-niks would want it to be so. That’s how people get killed and wars get lost. Newsflash: it costs money to replace equipment, and the smaller orders become, the higher the price per unit becomes. Nobody says military acquisitions is perfect; far from it, and it could be improved. But this stuff needs to happen, and much as it may offend some people’s delicate sensibilities. You can’t equip the most capable military in the world with flowers and free stuff.
Are you suggesting we can’t keep out with Russia and China, even though we out spend them already by a massive amount? Please tell me what we are doing wrong.
Not respecting natural law, as always.
What you misunderstand is that both China and Russia, while not as capable in the area of research, design, and manufacture as the U.S., are still pretty good, and they can build and put into service much greater numbers than we can; plus, their spies are good at stealing our designs. Their training isn’t as good and their equipment isn’t as good, thankfully, but they are still very capable. And they sell their equipment to every dictator around the world who can afford it.
For example, they are both flight testing fifth generation fighters right now and will have them in service in a few years. Those aircraft aren’t nearly as capable as the F-22 and F-35, particularly the F-22, but they are way more capable than our current legacy fighters (F-15, F-16, F-18). And those aircraft will be in the hands of countries like Syria in a few years. Not continuing to build and equip the AF/Army/Navy with modern equipment is how we lose our advantages and ability to have things like air superiority over the battlefield, particularly as our numbers continue to be cut.
Then we’re not very smart about protecting our designs.
That’s just a fact. Blame it on whoever you want, and we steal their stuff, too. There’s an entire museum on Nellis AFB dedicated to stuff we’ve stolen from the USSR/Russia.
^^^^^if all of this shit is not common knowledge…wtf are you people learning in college?^^^^^
Leader of the free world? Who…that bozo in the White House? He’s no leader. And wow, he sure does love him some tyrants. He praises them more than any other head of state. Weird right?
Carter had no war. Which is a good thing. Oh and, he was a long time military man. Clinton, Clinton deployed the military all over the frign place. Bosnia-Herzegovina, Macedonia, Haiti, Liberia, Bangui, Albania, Congo, Sierra Leone, Operation Desert Fox in Iraq, Kenya, Tanzania, Afghanistan, Sudan, Serbia, Yemen…
Reagan? Don’t make me laugh. Bush…falling over myself here. That ring kisser did it for the oil. Not to fight tyranny. 43….are you fucking kidding me? Trillions blown on what? For what? That whole damn thing was and is an unmitigated disaster. 44 didn’t appreciate or understand the military? Where were you every time he paid honor to the active, prior and the fallen? Going la-la-la-la-la-la-la I can’t hear you la-la-la-la-la-la?
And you know…Assad has nothing to do with nothing. Whether he deployed gas or not. There’s murder. There’s rape. There’s countless atrocities happening around the globe. But you think ‘Hey. He used gas. It’s up to us to put a stop to that and make him kill people with bullets and bombs dammit!’ Give me a damn break.
Syria is Syria’s problem. I don’t give any shits at all about refugees or Assad or whatever. Let Putin have it. Let Iran gain influence in the region. We are….wayyyyyyy over here. The ME should be dealing with the ME. Not us. Fuck them. Reserve our volunteers and resources for protecting our borders. Aid our allies when they need it sure, but otherwise…nuh uh. Stay out of it.
And I’ll tell you why…you can’t pick and choose. You either have to go all in everywhere or just not bother. And since we can’t save everybody….
You see here boys and girls we have what we call an isolationist in our midst.
Nope
any shits at all about refugees or Assad or whatever. Let Putin have it. Let Iran gain influence in the region. We are….wayyyyyyy over here. The ME should be dealing with the ME. Not us. Fuck them. You’re good at repeating it. Not so good at comprehending it.
other than the throwaway line about helping our allies, everything else was stay home and stay out of it.
Which does not equate to isolationism.
Okie dokie
That’s not entirely true. What I heard was Kenny Rogers singin’ “if you’re gonna play the game, boy, you gotta learn to play it right”
You are clearly one of the hopeless.
Ronald Reagan was the best president of the post-WWII era.
And Bush 41 decidedly did NOT start Desert Storm “for the oil”. That’s a flat-out dumb assertion.
43? Iraq was the right thing to do; the post-Baath party Iraq was handled incorrectly. 43 was beloved by the bulk of uniformed personnel, as well as cops and firefighters, for a reason. Clinton was despised.
As far as Obama goes, he was totally and utterly clueless about the military, its people, its capabilities, or its needs. I lived through it and I served during those 8 years. I know. You don’t. We all saw right through Obama.
Syria? You’re a classic isolationalist. People like you are the reason why some of these conflicts end up a mess, but you and your kind whine and bleat about them and force political leadership to not allow us to end wars quickly. You are part of the problem and the reason why the U.S. has looked weak in foreign policy matters. Obama was an unmitigated disaster in the area of foreign policy, while you and your kind blindly followed along and applauded.
Here’s a lesson for you, from someone who served: you don’t want to go to war, but if we go, it needs to be with overwhelming force. It’s always better to kill more of them than allow us to get killed.
Genocide. The final solution. Good call.
Mister Steve, you better not call him and isolationist like I did. LOL
That’s precisely his philosophy whether he wants to admit it or not.
I like diplomacy. It actually works.
When?
Cuban missile crisis?
A naval blockade is an act of war, and without ability of the U.S navy to conduct that blockade, the Cuban missile crisis would’ve ended far differently.
Not really, and that was just a piece of the cold war. We didn’t even win the cold war, as we thought, as you see who’s running Russia.
Sometimes. Not always.
Worked great when we talked Russia into getting rid of Syria’s chemical weapons
I’m hopeless? lol. Dude…you’re a hammer. A classic hammer.
Reagan best president? Hold on while I piss myself laughing.
Oh yes. It was the oil. All about the oil.
No, Iraq was not the right thing to do. But then, you’re a hammer. So.
Yea okay. Obama was utterly clueless. If I hadn’t already pissed myself….
Now how ya going to look at that lengthy list I and pluck out Syria? I’ll tell you why, because you’re incapable of acknowledging shit you don’t want to admit.
Here’s a lesson for you for someone who served and maintained his ability for free thought…unless someone is threatening and or encroaching on your borders. There’s no war to make. But you, you’re a hammer. Everything is a nail…and projecting force is how you hammer them down.
Yes, Ronald Reagan was the best president of the post-WWII era.
As far as desert storm, you’re just demonstrating your total ignorance.
Oil dude
It was all about the oil
Kuwait is a gas station for the US. That’s all it ever was to Bush.
Have you ever been in Kuwait or Iraq? Didn’t think so. Those governments control the oil in those countries and all middle east countries. The U.S. government controls zero oil in Kuwait and never has. Now, was part of the objective of Desert Storm to keep the Kuwaiti oil fields (which are near the border) out of Saddam’s hands? Absolutely – that’s why Saddam burned them as he fled back into Iraq. But never, ever, has the U.S. ever controlled Kuwaiti oil, then or now.
When did I say we controlled it?
I didn’t. Now did I?

At least then you’re being honest with yourself.
TLDR
MOATB
(mother of all truth bombs)
Truth is in the numbers. Syrian refugees by country:
Turkey: 3,400,000
Lebanon: 1,000,000
Jordan: 660,000
Germany: 530,000
Iraq: 250,000
Egypt: 130,000
Sweden: 110,000
Canada: 54,000
Austria: 50,000
USA: 33,000 and only 11 in 2018.
there should be an enormous disparity. the neighboring countries should take all of the refugees in my opinion. What’s your point exactly
The neighboring countries are generally poor and have their own problems (including many other refugee populations). Canada, with about 1/10th of our population, has taken in a third more refugees than we have. Germany, with a quarter of our population, has taken in 16X as many refugees.
Point being, if you REALLY care about the poor Syrian women and children, you take them in.
Proximity. They probably want to go home once the region is stabilized don’t you think?
I think they mostly just don’t want to be bombed, or to live in refugee camps.
the best place for them is close to home when the region is stabilized.
they’re not in the hole 20 Trillion type of poor
Um… we’re incredibly in debt and have plenty of refugees of our own…
What’s YOUR point? That we should borrow more money and spend ourselves into greater oblivion to solve problems that these people won;t solve for themselves?
I care about the United States asserting a leadership role in geo-political affairs where bad actors like Putin and Assad think they have a free hand to reboot the worst brand of throw-back dictatorship and repression that the 20th century manufactured. You want to talk about cognitive dissonance? How is it that the bleeding heart liberals of the US – the champions of the poor downtrodden little people of the world – are opposed to the United States leading an allied effort to cripple a brutal dictator’s capacity to unleash chlorine gas on civilians, merely because the they think the Prez who authorized it is a donkey.
So drop your B.S. and say “Hey, I really don’t care about anything except kicking Trump in the nuts indiscriminately any chance I get!
At least then, you are being honest with yourself.

I find it ironic that the people who support the strike on Syria are screaming that the killing of civilians cannot stand. The same people refuse to accept war-ravaged Syrian refugees:
_______________________________________________________
Of course the killing of civilians “cannot stand”, but just because you are against a government doing such things does not mean you have to accept refugees en masse to justify that position.
I think homelessness is a travesty in our society, and I can support ways to combat it short of turning my home into a shelter for anyone coming off of the street.
Anyhow, I fully support the bombing of Syria because Assad’s use of chemical weapons is a flagrant repeated violation of an international ban on such things, and a clear indication of the bad faith in which both Syria and Russia have acted given that they “agreed” to dispose of it all. I find it interesting that people who are big fans of the UN and doing things via multilateral international consent, suddenly lose their sac when it comes to doing something to enforce those international norms. If resolutions and diplomatic chit-chat are going to be anything more than a charade, then bombs have to fall at some point. How many passes does Assad and Russia get before something happens?
common sense approach to such issues shouldn’t need explaining or defending , but when you’re responding to the mentally ill , it’s necessary . It’s a sickness.
Reports are coming in about explosions at a Syrian-controlled base in Aleppo, which has served as a hub for the Iranians. If it’s the West or Israel following up with a second round, then I like the strategy. These Assad-backing jagoffs moved out of the bases in anticipation of the initial bombing; now that they think it’s over and they’re returning, hit them with a “welcome back” volley.
Amen!
And you’re 1000% certain that this latest alleged chemical attacks was perpetrated by Assad, and not by some faction opposed to him? I haven’t heard a shred of hard evidence outside of a barrage of hearsay.
I’m 1000% certain that I accept the assertions of the US, British and French governments over the denials of Putin and Assad. How about you? Putin and Assad deny it, so it must not be true, eh? Is that where you are?
I know it’s boring but I have to say I agree with you again 100%!

Great to see what appears to be a legitimate blow delivered to against Syria. We’ll see in the coming backs whether the impact is as advertised.
https://pbs.twimg.com/media/DawpqCCVMAES1RW.jpg
The justification is clear, obvious, and undisputed. The action, if anything, could have been larger.
What needs to happen is that the U.S. needs to finally do the right thing and take down the Syrian government, or at least take down Assad himself (which I’m 99% sure has been tried already).
And then what? We obviously haven’t figured out what to do in Iraq and Afghanistan after 17 years.
Not really.
We’ve obviously lacked the political will to do what needed to be done, most prominently caused by a mishandling of the situation after the fall of the Baath Party in Iraq and 8 years of an anti-American power globalist as President.
Amen mr. Steve!. I’ve already popped the popcorn and I’d like to hear that response
Here’s the deal. Bush should have NEVER gone back into Iraq in the first place. We had Sadaam pinned between no fly zones. He was too weak militarily to attack his neighbors, but strong enough to scare his neighbors off from attacking him.
The Iraq fiasco is squarely on Bush, so spare me with your tin-foil-hat wearing globalism, deep-state claptrap.
Saddam Hussein invaded Kuwait dumb dumb
George HW Bush sent him packing back to Iraq, badly beaten and militarily degraded. George W. is the idiot that went back in without an exit plan.
I would dispute the ‘undisputed’ part.
Vacuums Steve. Vacuums.
Where were you mr. Steve early this morning when I was Saying what you’re saying and getting piled on upon? It’s not that I don’t have the ability to take it, it’s just silly from the left. Lol
It was a reasonable face saving measure. Will have zero impact on the outcome of the war.

Going through the thousands of pics I’ve got on the phone, I found something I forgot to share back during that trip to Florida for Thanksgiving.
Spotted this at Walmart when we went on a peanut oil run….

Could be a dude…..
Speaking of wally world, I spotted this on the shelf.
https://www.walmart.com/ip/Mainstays-LED-Color-Tape-Light/54633706
$17 for 16′. I picked up two.
Now I gotta decide if I’m going to take down the $69 24′ strip I bought at Home Depot a month or so ago. It’s got way more LEDs per foot, has nice warm light, and a remote that dims. But still, I can mount two of the these from walmart for the same effect. Plus have the 16 colors or so that it comes with.
Pretty good price, considering you get the controller. Amazon has some good ones too.
When Walmart and Amazon have the same thing…I choose the ability to return it without having to print a label and go to the UPS store. Every time.
As handy as delivered to the door is, returns to Amazon are all hassle.
Yeah, you just have to read the description carefully sometimes it’s bullshit.
Probably not, though. When you zoom in, the shoulders don’t look as big.
You zoomed in eh
Yup
I find it ironic that the people who support the strike on Syria are screaming that the killing of civilians cannot stand. The same people refuse to accept war-ravaged Syrian refugees:
https://www.vox.com/2018/4/13/17233856/syria-attack-refugees-war-assad-trump
One is a talking point used as a justification by people who just want to see military implemented. They’ve no actual give a damn about civilians on the other side of the planet.
The other is an unwillingness to get that involved. Along the lines of, I’ll help you with your situation, but I will not let you bring it to my house.
wow the arrogance you have! Now you feel like you speak for a whole political party opposite your beliefs? Give it a rest dude.
I don’t feel like I talk for anyone except my observations.
You give it rest. Neocon.
I loves me a good Farmer’s Market. The brisket chick had mouth-watering pastrami today. Reuben time!

So you’re killing civilians… is killing civilians one way worse than another? You’re still killing civilians. Why is Trump enforcing a red line Obama drew?
————-
Funny how polarization works. I said exactly the same thing earlier and the conservative mahjong club said I was unhinged. 65 was particularly incensed. And then he “liked” SCamp’s post saying exactly what I’d been saying. LOL
Nothing is worse than being the one who makes the salient point, followed by someone responding with the most obvious fucking thing that can be said….and that’s what gets the like.
I never saw D_C make any similar point… my point was not is response to any point of his
In actuallity my post was previous to D_C even showing up on the blog last night…

The conversation was actually with Austin
I don’t know about any of that. I’m just tossing up what I associated it with.
1st mistake is taking D_C at face value…
Never claimed your point was in response to mine. We made the same point independently. Mine was in a conversation yesterday afternoon. The interesting thing was the 180 degree different reaction when the same point was made by a liberal vs. a conservative.

Problem with that, he rarely says anything…kinda gives it a forcefield.
exactly, zz. I was stunned by that comment. And coming from Almo, I have to believe it.
Whatever about the locker room Almo. What about the fits and outbursts he has on the sidelines?

Yup, a brief but very strong storm threw debris all over our yard, and put an oak tree on my neighbor’s roof last night. Chilly today.

In other Texas news, Beto O’Rourke SPANKED Rafael Eduardo Cruz in fundraising for Q1 2018. $6.8 million for O’Rourke vs.. $2.7 million for Cruz. All without donations from PACs, Special Interests or Corporations.
Just individual donations from everyday Texans like Austin, k0n and Steve.
Typical Austin move, leave out the immigrants. Jose, Hector, and María also donated.
My bad. Mohammet, Jugdish, Sidney and Clayton also donated.

I’m not buying the justification to get into yet another conflict, while Iraq and Afghanistan are still unresolved after 17 years.
Let’s see the invasion of Ukraine by Russia occurred under Obama’s watch. Obama created a red line that if crossed there would be consequences and of course we all know that he cowardly back ed down from that. China built fake Islands solely for military bases under Obama’s watch. He was incredibly weak in foreign-policy. That no longer is the case in the White House!
The invasion of Ukraine?
Pssst…..half those mofos opened the door for Russia to come on in. Recall, they wanted to go back to being a Russian state.
Now please. Turn off Fox News. It is brain rot.
And another thing….it takes a stiff fucking spine to not go getting involved in every damn conflict around the planet. Withholding takes a helluva lot more strength than being a reactionary.
You can’t be serious
he warned if the line was crossed there would be consequences and there were consequences. Unlike the former Commander in Chief.
You missed the consequences. Turn off Fox.
I have been watching MSNBC and the predictable weaklings crying about the bombings.
Crying? Really? There’s actual tears?
No Mr. Literal!
Well hell, I might have tuned in for tears.
I haven’t watched cable news going on nine years. It’s shit.
Worse, all those tickers and logos fuck with my plasma TV.
Also, MSNBC is brain rot
Stay away from cable news man
Fox News and MSNBC are opinion channels and not news stations.
It was a response, which is better than no response, IMO. But it wasn’t “tough”. It was calculated to avoid inflicting real losses in key places (ie – where the Russians are). It was within the ground-rule parameters of Syria –
*the West knows it can no longer actually stop Assad but needs to do something
*Assad’s backers cannot directly provoke the Western powers into a real wider conflict
Here’s the scenario. The West stepped up to the little punk-azz and delivered a punch. The bigger bully who is backing the little punk-azz isn’t going to jump into the fight, because the West and the bigger bully both know that the punch was pulled. The West gets to walk away and say “we punched that little punk-azz”. The little punk-azz walks away and says “the West couldn’t knock me down even though they got a free shot”.
So the West got to lob missiles, and Assad’s backers won’t respond with any retaliation. Russia let the West have the last shot, but Assad is using it to show how tough he is and that his regime is going to survive whatever the West can throw.
Yes it was a coordinated, targeted, precise, Alliance-lead strike.
It was another symbolic gesture that will have no real effect on anything. I give him credit for not starting WWIII … yet.
Bwahahahaha
Merkel was silent before the strikes, now, cowardly, says they support the strikes.
Russia is Germany’s primary energy supplier.
She should have stood up to what is right and been more vocal. Being beholding to Putin is horrible and accurate. oh what a tangled web we weave……
It’s an issue throughout the Eurozone. They haven’t known if Russia is a strategic friend or foe. At least the Brits are now enacting legislation to choke out Russian oligarch money havens in UK (those guys have more investment in London than anywhere outside Russia), and France is no longer producing war machines for Putin (which they were doing before Crimea).
We will see soon enough whether they are friend or foe. They are publicly stating there will be consequences, so we will all have to wait and see.
Abby Huntsman 😁
Least you got this one right

Rick’s Rant, CK and Collusion – Here’s the thing. The NFL owners don’t need to “collude” in order to collude. What do I mean? Legally, collusion requires an affirmative understanding and agreement between parties to do something deceitful or illegal. But it’s not “collusion” if there is no affirmative agreement. Take the example of the game of Risk. You often have a point in the game when all the players come to a common understanding that you should gang up on one guy and take him out. You don’t need an “agreement” that is affirmatively made, like everyone says “Hey, let’s all agree to gang up on Joe!”. You just read the game, and it makes sense and everyone piles on until Joe’s armies are decimated and his territory divided. The notion that the NFL owners all got together for a secret phone call and agreed to stiff CK is ludicrous – they didn’t have to. The NFL owners are a smart bunch who know how to read the game. They already know that having CK on your roster is a giant pain in the butt, more burden than benefit, and the publicity has been bad for business. But they don’t need to “collude” to arrive uniformly at that conclusion. And as far as protests go; I believe these players have EVERY right to express their views on the social issues important to them. However, they have NO right to do so on their employer’s clock and use their employer’s organization as their personal platform to do so.
Dez Bryant on the Skins – Yeah, this makes about as much sense as inviting walterinfallschurch to your prayer meeting; or having D_C come to your Mensa meetup; or Scamp keynote a Nancy Pelosi fundraiser. It’s a funny idea to imagine, only because in reality it makes no sense and would be a horrible decision.
Johhhhhhhhhnathan Hankins – For real, fatboy, make up your mind already.
Bombs in Syria – We have never had a comprehensive ME strategy, and we never will. There are no lasting stable solutions for the ME. If there were; we’d have discovered them already. But if lobbing missiles at specific targeted military installations in Syria makes like difficult for Assad, Russia and Iran, then I’m all for it. Those jagoffs need a beatdown every now and then; it’s the only language they understand.
2 points for using jagoff.
Collusion is trending right now, everybody’s using it.
Agree we everything you posted! if we need to sweeten the deal to get Hankins to sign I think we should.
Honestly, does he even have other offers out there? The market is drying up. The waiting game may actually benefit us more than him, but it’d be nice to get that thing reckoned one way or another.
I like a few of the guys in college that might be drafted for the defense of line but the thing with Hankins is he is a very good known commodity. If we were able to get him as a free agent, it would free us up to do so much more in the draft
Is there any word on what we’ve offered? I thought I heard somewhere that it was a 1 year deal – if so, that’s dumb. Don’t know why you’d offer a proven guy entering his prime a one-year deal.
Dumb! Sounds about right!

I wonder if there’s some sort of alarm that goes off on their computer when democracy is in jeopardy? Like paper clip shows up. Bling!
So every time a Democrat speaks a paper clip shows up?
Lotta fucking paper clips
No, whenever there’s a situation on social media, they type the subject into the quick menu search bar and he shows up “Bing!” “Greetings comrade, these are all of the relevant tweets by Donald Trump”
Comrade… nice touch
“and remember comrades, RESIST!”
…as they drown in their own paper clips
Server crashes
So much easier for conservatives. You just gotta turn on Fox News.
Makes it easier than turning back and forth between CNN, MSNBC, ABC,CBS, etc…

Conspiracy theory? Here it is… Syria doesn’t benefit from this… but Russia and China do. Keeps us busy spending money in an area of the world we don’t want to be in.
Have we lifted any sanctions from the Crimea deal?
No clue… but Russia is scared to overtly do anything… so they do this with Syria as their puppet… and Syria is afraid to deny it.
Google that shit, D_C, I know you’re lurking.
lol
Trump doesn’t support Science…blew up some Umbrella Corporation research faculties in a shithole country.
lol
Comey’s got a book hitting the stands. Trump needs a distraction. Putin moves some pieces. Gets the gas released. US just has to have a response that, oh, so happens to occur on the same day Comey’s book dropped.
Boom
Strug-gl-ing
It’s perfect!
Putin can’t have his pawn having to answer pee-pee tape questions.
Strug
Trump is watching all this go down live on a 70″ HDTV with a Quarter Pounder with Cheese, large fries and a diet Coke on a gold platter talking shit.
Book it.
And a bowl of ice cream, two scoops!

There is a McDonald’s that’s what…2 blocks from the WH?
Where’s D_C? Thought for sure he’d be on here crying for Syria. Must be his bed time.
Give it time…
He’s not as quick witted as Kon and Austin
Am I missing video strikes, or are they just showing tomahawks being launched from a destroyer on loop?
On loop
Meh…
Also missing the press attempt to gotcha the SecDef.
He’s the future Lord Commander
He’s feel so assad tonight and needs to hear about Stormy Daniels to feel ahappy.
Which one of these two was the kid from the CFL?
What the CFL?
It’s ‘what the CFL is?’
Football ? Oh you’re in the wrong place . This is Jibba Jabba . com
I’ve been working on my ton truck, eating food, smokin’ dope, and I just watched a fucked up movie called Undertow.
You ain’t been smoking any dope . Not risking your J O B. Eating food and working on truck , ok .
That’s a good story.
mine or yours ?
Yours
ha ha ha
Don’t get hurt, right?
Comey’s book comes out. Trump orders airstrikes on Syria.
I mean……
I don’t see how this would help or hurt his book . The French and the Brits are in this too.
Come on Buck… typical
The book is already in print . It will be read and discussed . Airstrikes or not .
Captain Obvious
Amen
And Assad had nothing to do with that timing either. Got it.
Some people are just fucking nutz
When was the gas that may or may not have been Assad?
April 7th
Rosenstein and Mueller will both be fired so trump can stay focused on being Commander in Chief. He doesn’t need those distractions during this critical time.
who gave the authority to bust into Cohen’s office? Like the Gestapo. Totally illegal in my opinion. Why didn’t they just subpoena whatever documents they were looking for?
I’m sure there was collusion between him and the Russians. Next it will be Trump’s butler.
Lol lol
Your shrillness is showing
Shit going down in Syria
Fappin’ for war. Good boy.
I’m against it
No way we should be fucking around in that civil war
That’s my point.
I think you and I have arrived at the same point from totally different points of view. Mere coincidence
Nice try though… you’re nothing if not predictable
So am I . You don’t do shit unless you’re 1000% certain. And even then, bad shit happens everywhere. Is this worth poking WWIII?
So you’re killing civilians… is killing civilians one way worse than another? You’re still killing civilians. Why is Trump enforcing a red line Obama drew?
I’m not convinced Assad killed civilians.
Please… I don’t think there is any denying that Assad has been killing his own civilians for decades. I just don’t get how you say “go ahead and kill your own people… as long as you don’t do it with chlorine gas.”
well the French, Brits and Americans are evidently .
Got it. And it’s amazing at how fast they arrived at that conclusion without displaying conclusive evidence. I would argue that it’s just as easy for one of Assad’s enemies to stage an incident and pin it on him.
and that’s more than enough for me
If we did nothing , we would be accused of all kinds of shit .
We’re always accused of all kinds of shit Buck. Every. Single. Day.
mainly , the left would be screaming we are scared of Russia and Putin and you know it .
The left is always screaming about something… this changes nothing other than gives them something new to scream about… “YOU DIDN’T ASK US! WAAAAAAAAAAH!”
You’re rambling.
You’re crying
Not crying. Just not buying all the crap being shoved down my throat.
I believe that you are having shit shoved down your throat.
Lol
you mean like you can keep your own doctor? and the cost or going to go down and everyone will be covered?and we are drawing a Line in the Sand? I mean when are you people going to wake up? Both parties are worse than the other. Listening or rather reading most of you up here, picking one side over the other, is quite amusing to me
Nice stream of consciousness. You’re right there with Mike.
you just made me remember having s*** shoved down our throats, that was your comment. both sides are guilty of it so just wake up and acknowledge it!
not scared, more like we are in bed with them. Enabling and acquiescing to them
Using chemical weapons on anyone is against international law and we are not in this alone.
It’s not war. It’s a bitch-slapping of epic proportion.
the Tony part of town Rick, are you suggesting that’s the Theater part of town? Or the high toned distinguished part of town now?
air strikes forthcoming
US, UK and France bringing the pain.
yep
Question for you NASCAR guys… Is there a lot of teamwork involved? I’m pretty sure drafting is used as a tactic. Can teams try to block cars from opposing teams? Not dangerously, of course.
Tons of teamwork. Teams recruiting former college athletes for pit crew . Change four tires and get gas in fourteen seconds .
and make chassis adjustments . Its amazing they can do it that fast .
I was thinking about more on the track itself. NASCAR has teams of cars on the track. Does each team have a driver who’s “top dog” and the other drivers help him win?
IDK about helping him win . There are multi car teams that help each other when it;s beneficial . One team owner like Joe Gibbs for instance have more than one driver and car.
Lots of really smart people . Engineers and mechanics , looking for every advantage . Aerodynamically as well as mechanical.
Not too different from bike racing, really. Lots of engineering and aerodynamics. Doping, too!
I just had a bit of road rage with a cyclist . One of those freaks in the whole bicycle get- up and attire . Thinks its his right to act like a another vehicle on the road with no shoulder and ditches on the side . Trying to look out for the guy and he starts cussing me when I did go around him .
Actually, I believe it is his right according to DMV. Unless they’ve changed the laws in VA since I lived there.
I probably is his right which is why I gave him room and didn’t pass him when he wanted me too. He’s waving me around kinda frantically and there’s an oncoming car , whose lane I would have been in had I passed him when he wanted me too. That would have left ne with two choices . make the oncoming car come to sudden stop assuming that he would and not run into me , or run the bicycle in the ditch .
Then the dude starts yelling at me , when I finally did go around . Experienced a fleeting moment of anger . minimal anger but anger .
Hard for me to say, since I wasn’t there. Maybe he thought you passed him too close. I used to wave cars by me when I was on a bike but later I figured I might be found liable if they ran head into a car going the opposite way.
No , he specifically yelled at me about waiting to pass . I was trying to be safe and cautious . Plus he didn’t just casually wave me a time or two. He was emphatic that I go around him right then. Anyhow it’s done now.
As an avid cyclist, I thank you for being courteous. 🙂
G Damnitt , I knew somebody would be a cyclist around here .
I’m just a 68 yo kid.
Also, sometimes the adrenaline just gets to you and you let out an expletive or two and then regain your sanity.
https://contrahead.files.wordpress.com/2014/03/carcrashesintobikerace.jpg
GET ‘EM BUCK!
Not funny when you’ve been hit by a car and spent a few days in ICU.
See , that wouldn’t have been me that hit you . Sorry that happened to you though .
I have son. Motorcycle.
But that’s funny because I don’t know the circumstances.
If I was an avid cyclist , i’ll be damned if i’m going to ride on a narrow road at 6 o clock on a Friday . Going someplace safer .
Hate those ones. They are addicted to being yielded to.
Maybe he was commuting home. You never know. I agree with the narrow roads back east with no shoulder or fog line.

You’re an asshole too by the way .

Buck… Did you know that Jimmie Johnson and several other drivers on the NASCAR circuit are avid cyclists?
No , but W was .
He got knocked out of the O’Reilly 500. I was by his pit when it happened. It was like the wish I never knew I wished for come true.
His crew started breaking down their area. I was taking pics and laughing.
who ? I was talking about George W . He was always cycling .
MTB’er, though. Totally different skill set. I could probably dust W on the road and he’d kill me on a mountain bike.
That’s true . Mountain bikes .
48
oh , yeah . breaking down ? that’s a little extreme . Its way early .
I gotcha now . I misread it
If I saw 48 pedaling his way up a road…good chance I slow down and tell him he sucks balls.
Bristol night race . That is the best . Nothing better . Been to two .
I can’t actually say there’s nothing better because there are so many I haven’t been two, but the Bristol race is bad ass. Lots of contact , close racing . More about talent than fuel mileage and pit stop strategy.
and that’s the heart of NASCAR country . Them people are passionate about racing . They love it . You don’t see empty seats like other places .
Right after the crash…

bad ass equipment all the way around on all those guys . I’ll be checking out Kyke Busch and Denny Hamlin this coming Thursday . They’ll be racing with the Late model regulars at my local track . Fundraiser for Hamlin’s charity . 25 bucks .
You want some tires? https://uploads.disquscdn.com/images/dae0c4f291c67cabb46233fb644f66bf7259ea0690f5683cb0d44871ae42ebfb.jpg

The money it takes is insane . Crazy .
There was a Goodyear trailer there. Pallets and pallets of wheels and tires.
They (announcers ) tell you every once in awhile how much tires cost and how much they spend for one race on tires . Then the damn things can just blow for no reason sometimes
last week and I can’t remember who , radioed in and said he needed tires immediately . didn’t make hardly anywhere right after he said it and hit the wall . Tire blew . I wish I could remember who it was
Our handler told us they run about $450 – $500 per tire.
When they blew out at the race and put the driver into a wall I was wondering….’is that tire under warranty?’
How did all that happen anyway ? Unless you can’t say , in which case never mind
How did what happen? Infield passes?
We know a guy that works for Monster Energy. He asked if we were interested in going to the race.
The rest was a matter of registering with NASCAR. Had to email them a picture and a copy of our ID. When we got there, they gave us a parking pass and a hot pass that we slung around on our necks and flashed to go here and there whenever there was a gate. It was mostly all access. For whatever reason, the media has their own area that the public can’t enter.
Monster Energy had a trailer that converted into a double decker hospitality lounge. Bar and buffet downstairs, patio and deck upstairs. They were serving up some good eats and endless beers and Monster Energy drinks.

That’s a gas fire pit up there. EVERYBODY was huddled around that thing. Was still low 40s at the start of the race.
good deal . Sounds like a good time
Sure was. Didn’t even mind the weather.
The pace car ride was the most disappointing part of the whole day. It was only 2 laps and our driver was not in the best of moods at the time. Said he was hungry and tired. Oh, and afraid. ‘I’m not a professional driver. I’m staying away from the wall’
The fastest he got up to was 118. I was like ‘I could do this in the Jeep. WTF’
what kinda car was it
https://uploads.disquscdn.com/images/ab045ddd5ca5797c053a45fdc086f8b4332bec84c5665ec98d3cc7167970d472.jpg
yeah , the new Camaro . Sweet Jesus that’s a pretty car . Seen a few on the road . They sound awesome too
did it have a roll cage in it
Nuh uh
I’ll tell ya where all the money is…it’s not in the team’s car. It’s in the driver’s RV.
Every driver had a deluxe RV. Top of the line. Extended rooms, full kitchens…frign hot tubs ffs.
That shit is off the chain . Same stuff the musicians have . Never seen them up close but I know what they have .

PS – Haha. Sorry to post this as a response to your post Rick.
I’ll be over…they stink though (early)
I have ZERO problems with Josh Norman doing “Dance With The Stars”. It’s the off-season, and he usually comes to play.
Same. No skin of my ass if he wants to make a fool of himself.
https://twitter.com/mortreport/status/984926316515545088
I’d hate it with a burning passion … but it would be fun to see Norman and Dez go at it during practices.
What about the St. Louis Cardinals….
Doh!
or, you know, the eagles.
Seems like the Ravens are where washed-up WR’s go to die.
i was actually referring to mortensen’s tweet where he lists nfc east teams. he mentions cowboys? not eagles?
His mom was hoping to tap into that 14th street goldmine of johns.
That’s the old D.C….14th street is the “tony” part of town.
Pretty cool.

will be interesting to see how biofuels stay in the mix, because we’ve spent a lot of money on R&D public and private and already have the infrastructure in place for it, no rails, which it would seem to me would work fine on a narrow road, but with the wide lanes of a super expressway, not sure it’d work. maybe in a city setting.

THIS is fucked up! …and why people are pissed!
Tragic. But I would need to know more than reading a tweet.
I guess this means I am a racist now.
No…but you since you probably believe he HAD to have done something wrong for someone to randomly shoot at him…
…but here you go….then come talk to me.
https://www.whio.com/news/national/the-latest-white-man-charged-for-shooting-black-teen/Z1ITVyZGPhnI6CGYffxgxI/
I don’t believe that at all, Rick. I am just saying that a tweet is not reflective of all the facts. I would want to hear how an investigation pans out because of how this makes no sense and I am curious as to things like the age of the “neighbors” and whether this was some sort of accident or something. One person’s tweet does not register to me as factual evidence because that tweet – – if you read it close – – was written in a one-sided fashion.
The only thing I take away from that tweet as factual is that a little boy’s life was extinguished and that’s tragic.
Tweet says he was shot at… not killed
My bad. Glad I was incorrect there.
He was shot at…not hit or killed.
Dude, why you hatin’ on the flag?
What?
Aren’t all protests over shootings of unarmed blacks REALLY about disrespecting the flag? That’s what I’ve been led to believe.
Mannn…I dunno…this burns me to my core dude.
It’s fucked up.
Here we go…

I was just venting for a minute…I’m done.
That wasn’t for you Rick…
I know
Yes it is fucked up, but if you are trying to insinuate this is unique to 2018 , that ain’t so . bad shit happens and its been happening long before the last election .
Orion was one to watch this year.
The stars just didn’t line up.
I love Otha Peters.
– Mrs. D_C
What about his brother Lotsa?
Will probably end up in Philly with Peters, Cox and Johnson.
And now….beer.
So Orion Stewart will hunting for a new job?
May have to tighten his belt.
The team is clearly making space for the Dez Bryant signing.
Bite yo tounge.
Dez might be helpful on a team like Green Bay or even New England or someplace where he can be a role player within an offense that is already strong. He’s not going to be anyone’s no.1 wideout. He was getting outplayed in Dallas by that midget Cole Beasley for the last 2 years.
Seems like the Rams are snatching up every player out there so maybe he’ll go to LA. Either way though, the Redskins likely never thought of reaching out to him. Not for a second.
Happy Friday night!!
