The Redskins announced today that DL A.J. Francis, DL Montori Hughes, and DL Terrell McClain have been released.
The team also announced that TE Chris Bazile, LB Cassanova McKinzey, and DB James Sample have been waived.
There has not yet been an official announcement regarding the signing of undrafted free agents; when that happens, we will post the information here.

20) De’Mornay Pierson-El, WR, Redskins
College: Nebraska
The skinny: Washington had one of the worst punt-return averages in the league last season, and Pierson-El excelled in that role at Nebraska. He also had five touchdowns last season as a receiver, so he could back up Jamison Crowder in the short-receiving game, as well.

I like the youth movement along both lines. And the teams guys should be young and hopefully transition into starters as they get experience.
IMO a good ST unit, is not in bad shape. We need to figure out the PR/KR duties. But in terms of the other players we are okay.
Apke, Strohman, and Dion Sims…all make teams younger and more athletic.

Lot of analysts saying the Ginas had an “elite” draft this year. IMO they screwed the pooch big time.
Sure, picking Barkley No. 2 overall will probably result in a few more wins this year, as opposed to drafting Darnold, who would sit behind Eli for all or most of the year, but this was the Giants’ chance to snag their QB of the future and they blew it. Eli has never been elite, and at 37 he’s far from the top of his game. His Yards/attempt has fallen for for four consecutive years, as has his QBR.
Barkley is considered an elite RB prospect, but that is no guarantee of future success. He will have to put of HOF-type numbers in order to justify even his rookie contract, which provides more guaranteed money than all but one proven NFL RB contract. Then, if the Giants want to pick up his 5th year option, they’ll have to pay him an unheard of amount of money for the RB position.
They got a great prospect in Saquon, but it was still a terrible decision.

Va Dept of Trans built a round about exit off 81 down here to alleviate a heavy traffic exit intersection. Worse design and biggest waste of $$ I have ever witnessed. Miles of pavement and turning to go a particular route and still long wait stoplights. All they woulda had to do was build a 1/4 mile bridge or 2 off the Interestate for quick traffic exits… VDOT people just not real bright here in Va. Facts.

Texas highways love to put the exit and entrance in the same lane. You got people fighting to get off the highway while other are trying to get on, happening inside the same short distance.
when you play city simulation games, you realize those are the easiest to design, utilizing little space as possible, but they are awful for traffic flow; especially for commercial traffic
they are perfectly fine early in the simulation when that exit carries relatively little traffic to and from a lazy suburb with some light retail. when it blows up with office campuses, light industry, and more housing, it backs up the whole interstate.
The poster child for this in NoVA is the I-395 Duke street exit (Edsel Rd too)

Summer fuel blends are more expensive, in part because they are harder to refine and distribute (because not every “place” has the same rules for summer fuel)

we’ve made some pretty large strides forward in fuel economy the last 6-8 years or so. I had a ’05 Mazda 3 for a couple of years that got 24 in the city and 28 on the highway, despite being a fun little city go-kart. now, you can get a smallish to mid-size SUV that will do that. so, many of us haven’t really gotten more fuel efficient vehicles, we’ve just gotten taller ones that are slightly larger. the smallish midsized crossover hatchback is that new hotness. if you’re a chick, and by proxy, a dude that thinks he can impress a chick… anyway.

my commute is under 30 miles round trip, and add maybe another few miles to the gym, maybe another errand, couple of times to HD… and it has a 9 speaker Bose… and still the tax breaks.

When out of town over the weekend went to a brewery in Danville PA.
They were doing something that I think should catch on. Rather than fries with burgers, they did corn chips and a house made beer cheese for dipping in. AMAZIBALLS

no I mean like tortilla chips. But the chips were just a reason for eating amazing beer cheese. The idea of chips and cheese dip over fries, I was skeptical at first, but in a brewery that was a winner.

Although the decision to sign McClain was bad, in the past they would have held onto him because nobody would want to admit they were wrong. I like the fact that they knew it was a bad decision and they cut bait. Best part is the contract was written in a way that we didn’t spend much and we got out of it without a huge dead cap hit.
