Tesla is still learning how to build a car. There are few exceptions…most of their cars leave the factory with ill fitting panels. Trunk and hood not centered. Tail lights not aligned with sheet metal. Doors not level. Just all sorts of problems with fitments.

So regarding the scouting staff size question that Good ol mentioned.
When Doug came into his job i did a bit of digging. We had the smallest scouting department in the NFC East and smally by any NFL standards, at least from what i could find. Williams added a few guys to get us on par with the middle of the pack. Still need to add at least 2 regional scouts, we have 6 most teams have 8 I am told
We don’t need as many as other teams since we don’t scout west of the Mississippi.
We just rented Bill a studio appartment 2 block’s from the Bama stadium. Thats our entire scouting department for the south.
I just counted 11 players on the roster from what I would call the west – Pacific coast, Wyoming, Utah, Colorado

Rouge One (death star plan stealing) was a terrible movie. The actors were terrible, there was no reason to like any of the good guys. I kept hoping someone would shoot them to end this movie. 2nd worst Star Wars movie ever.
The story should have been okay (since everyone knew what it was), but turned out to be rather boring.

After Star Wars Episode 8, out of the original trio, the two actors’ whose characters have been killed off are alive and the one actress whose character is still living died. There’s a pattern here.

Episode 8 already did that for me. I watched some clips last weekend of interviews he did as part of the press junket for episode 8, and he basically said that he hated what they did with Luke.
I think most people have hated how the original trio were handled in 7-8… and not like they can fix it now.
Bold prediction: episode 9 will do well at the box office but won’t be the record-breaking worldwide smash hit like 7 and 8 were.
I didn’t understand why they turned Luke into a bitter, whiny recluse who just gave up – that seemed out of character – and I really didn’t understand why they killed him. Killing him didn’t really move the story along, to me.

I found it interesting looking at the W VA primary map. I don’t think you usually see a primary map break down with a dividing line like that where the Northern 1/2 the state went for 1 candidate, and the southern half going for the other, with Crazy-pants Blankenship having a little blob in the middle.
There are two distinct cultures in that state . I think that goes back to the civil war era . You would probably know about that . I give you props for your history knowledge .
I admittedly am not that well versed in any kind of West Virginia regionalism. Didn’t realize there was a distinct culture divide from those north and south of Charleston. Obviously well aware that the only reason the state exists is the Civil War.

The people not from southern WVA will be quick to tell you that . They want you to know they are from the “other part ” of the state .
Reminds me of when we would go on road trips long ago when I was a kid, people ask where we were from and we would always say Virginia. They would ask, where in Virginia. At first we would say, next to D.C. but that always got dirty looks from folks, even some rude comments here and there.
So we would say, “the part by West Virginia” which if you think of the size of the state, it’s not totally untrue.

i was on a cruise a few years ago and got talking to this guy about weather… shocker, right? turns out the guy was part of some weatherman’s convention or meeting or whatever. i mentioned how i was from the DC area and you could see his face tense up. he said how the DC area is one of the most difficult places in the world to forecast. mountains to the west, ocean to the east. fall line. greenland blocking. we get influenced by great lakes weather, plains weather, moisture from the south (gulf) etc….

Since I see comp picks came up again, I’m going to cut and paste my explanatory missive from last night for the morning crowd:
The gist of the comp picks thing, as I understand it, is this:
– 32 total picks awarded
– max of 4 to any one team
– comp picks are only rounds 3 through 7, not rounds 1 and 2
– the pick awards come by comparing qualified free agents lost to qualified free agents gained
– a player is qualified if he’s an unrestricted free agent who wasn’t cut by his former team, but I believe there are also more detailed conditions about that
– OTC says that, in essence, they believe that the NFL rank orders all players on active rosters at the end of the season and then compares to qualified free agents to that list. The primary factor in is believed to be average annual value of the contract, but the adjustments are by playing time and certain honors. Then, a round is assigned to each qualified free agent based on a percentile ranking of where they come out on a list
– If you lose a player who qualifies as a 3rd round pick, but sign a player who qualifies as a 3rd round pick, then they cancel each other out and no comp pick is awarded
– For example, if a team loses players who qualify as a 3rd round, 5th round, 6th round, and 7th round comp picks, but then sign players who qualify as a 4th round and 6th round pick, then the team gets a 3rd round pick, but the signing of the 4th rounder cancels out the 5th rounder, and the 6th rounder cancels out the 6th rounder, and the net result is that the team is awarded a 3rd round comp pick and a 7th round comp pick.
Those are the basics as I understand them, based on reading a bunch of articles about it. Feel free to correct this.

If I remember, LAR acquired some players via trade and signed players that got cut from other teams. Neither of those count in the formula. For instance, if the Skins do end up signing Hankins, it won’t affect the comp picks b/c he got cut from Indy. You need to sign a straight up free agent.
