Terry McLaurin credits veterans Norman, Dunbar, and Rodgers-Cromartie on furthering his development
Terry McLaurin has been a pleasant surprise for this Redskins offense. Or, so it seems. All off-season his name has generated so much buzz amongst Redskins fans and the media alike, its a positive sign for the Redskins third-round pick. His pass-catching ability and speed have been on display throughout camp, and they immediately stood out yesterday during my first day of observations. However, his growth and development have not just been on the backs of his offensive coaches and his abilities. Terry has sought advice from the veterans defensive backs for the Redskins as well, specifically cornerbacks Josh Norman, Quinton Dunbar, and Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie. McLaurin stated he went up against all the defensive backs that step on the field, but he wants all the work he can get against those three veterans. For Terry, it is the number of receivers who have so many different skillsets these guys have gone up against throughout their careers. The volume of experience is what attracted Terry to Josh, Quinton, and Dominique – their ability to dissect his route-running and the nuances of being a receiver. It is the feedback from the defensive backs Terry looks for in order to further his pro-development.
