After much speculation over the last three weeks, it seems that Dan Snyder fired Jay Gruden late last night.
Rumors started swirling late last night from folks claiming to have overheard the coach talking about being let go while in a bar in Ashburn, and now we have the first official report this morning, tweeted out by John Kiem:

Much remains to be seen, such as who will replace Gruden on an interim basis. Will any other members of the coaching staff be let go?
Gruden ends his career with the Redskins with a record of 35-48-1, a .423 winning percentage, and one playoff apearance. His 0-5 start to the season, and 1-10 record over the last 11 games marks a low point for the franchise under his tenure. His Redskins career peaked after two back to back winning seasons going 9-7 in 2015 and 8-7-1 in 2016, the only time the team has had back to back winning seasons in Dan Snyders 20 years as owner.
Update, 7:00 a.m. ET:
The Redskins will supposedly name offensive line coach Bill Callahan as the interim head coach:
The #Redskins will make OL coach and assistant head coach Bill Callahan their interim coach following the firing of Jay Gruden, source said. The former #Raiders and #Nebraska head coach.
