Redskins Respond to Allegations Regarding the Redskins Cheerleaders

Allegations were raised Wednesday by the New York Times, quoting multiple Redskins cheerleaders, regarding alleged improprieties at a 2013 Redskins cheerleader photo shoot in Costa Rica. The Times article alleged that the team allowed male sponsors and Fed Ex Field suite holders to observe a topless shoot, and that the team also required cheerleaders to later accompany the same sponsors and suite holders to a local night club.
Redskins President Bruce Allen released the following statement regarding the New York Times story:
“The Redskins organization is very concerned by the allegations involving our cheerleaders in the recent New York Times article. We are immediately looking into this situation and want to express how serious we take these allegations. Based on the dialogue we’ve had with a number of current and former cheerleaders over the past 48 hours, we’ve heard very different first-hand accounts that directly contradict many of the details of the May 2 article. I can promise that once we have completed looking into this matter, if it is revealed that any of our employees acted inappropriately, those employees will face significant repercussions.
“Our entire organization has great appreciation and respect for our cheerleaders. From the work they do in the local community, to visiting our troops abroad, and for always representing the Redskins organization in a first-class manner, these women are exemplary members of our organization and are worthy of our utmost respect. We are proud of these women and support them during this time. We will continue to take all necessary measures to create a safe and respectful work environment.”

If I’m going out somewhere nice the last place I’d usually choose is a steakhouse. I can grill them just as good at 1/3 – 1/2 the price they usually charge.
Outback is the only place that can cook prime rib like i want it . They butterfly it so they can get it done and its still juicy . I can’t deal with red meat .
Bones in Buckhead in Atlanta is my top one.

I’ve been to the Ruth’s Chris in Crystal City several years ago and had a great experience.
Good atmosphere, nice decor, and a good meal. But there are of upper-end steakhouses in this town that blow Ruth’s Chris away for the same money.

As if there’s any chance this guy didn’t do it. I’ve said this before, but 99.99% of people charged with a crime actually did it; sometimes their rights were violated, sometimes some of the evidence is too shaky for the jury, most of the time the DA just wants to get the file off his/her desk and is therefore willing to compromise, and occasionally politics gets in the way, but I can really only remember one case where the guy truly was the wrong guy. In that case, they’d arrested _______ Sr., not _________, Jr., and it took awhile to sort it out.

Yeah, that stuff happens occasionally. But basically all of the guys who proclaim their innocence at trial, or on death row, are guilty. Error rate is extremely small.

One death row case I was involved in – don’t want to say what my role was here – guy took his 14 year old stepdaughter out to the middle of nowhere in his car. Beat her with a baseball bat, raped her, then killed her. Police found her blood on his underwear. They were able to collect a seminal fluid sample from inside of her, but the sample size was too small to test for trial at the time. Zero other suspects or evidence indicating otherwise. Convicted, death sentence. Fast forward a few years later, his clemency petition is pending. The hand-wringing crowd is beating the drum for a DNA test of the sample because technology had improved and could now be tested. The guy loudly proclaimed his innocence to the media and to everyone who would listen, and those with fewer brain cells believed him. His attorneys knew he was guilty but were hoping that the sample would turn out to be someone else so they could create enough doubt about the rape that they coud potentially get the sentence reduced to life. My opinion of it was that a DNA test was a waste of time. The hand-wringing crowd won and he got a temporary 30 day reprieve to test the sample. 4 months later, i.e., 3 months beyond his clemency period, the sample test results came back and of course it was him. He’s now a corpse, hopefully burning in hell.

there were a couple of places where I should have done that drop thing I saw back in the day on Holmes on Holmes because the floor runners were a bit off in a couple of places and I really had to put on a lot of mud to taper it. but it was a basement, and I did all down lighting to hide any imperfections. it helps to be tall enough to first lift it all the way to the ceiling and then pin the other side with one of the T’s, eventually I was only using 1 T, but danged if it wouldn’t be easier to rent one of those lifts you can hand crank (maybe they’re electrical too?)
I used two 8′ step ladders, a walk board, and one of my son-in-laws (Mexican style) when I hung the cathedral ceiling in my addition.
The important thing (I think) is to stagger your joints so as to not have any that are really long. (Harder to finish)
Never done drywall but I have a corner of ceiling I need to do in my office from when we had a roof leak. Got to try n figure that out.
My other issue is that when you grow up in a series of government owned houses on military installations, there isn’t alot you’re supposed to fix or do.

Electric work is the one thing I’m more comfortable with, I wouldn’t mess with a circuit breaker but the AV work I’ve done for a living has had enough overlap that most electrics make sense to me.

The hardest part with all the stuff I’ve done to my house, hanging a ceiling fan, mostly because they are a pain to wire up while holding it in place.

You’d think that it would be better to allow the decking to expand and contract separate from the joist, with a smooth shank, where as a fully threaded shank joins them tightly together.

The builder ripped me by telling me that it was a rough-in bathroom. Still had to run the water pipe from the furnace room and a whole new extractor pump in the floor to keep the shit from backing up in the house.

I think deck posts should be notched to carry the bands, one continuous post from footer to rail top. Top rails should be mortised into the post, also, to prevent twisting. Jmo

if you the wiring wrong, breaker trips
if you get the plumbing wrong, you could have to do a lot of extra work after the water ruins a lot of stuff

I’ve fixed a few appliances that way .
If there’s a rough-in and no plumbing “circuits” to add, no wiring circuits to add, that’s mostly just a couple of weekends of work, probably get it down to 1 weekend if A) you don’t use a tile floor and B) the room is already dry-walled; if you put in that hip new fake PVC wood flooring, there’s nothing to wait to dry, and it looks good, waterproof, takes wear well… g’d for 30 years… putting in a vanity and a toilet is like, maybe an hour each if it goes well. if you break the joint where the toilet seats to, then it’s time to call a plumber,
next level is adding a shower/bathtub; and what I’d do there is have a professional put in the tub or shower floor, and the rest should be fairly do-able

I’m assuming it’s somehow welded to the cast iron pipe, but I’ve never done it, so I don’t know. could be bolted below, but again, I don’t know. I’ve replaced a half dozen toilets, and it has never been a problem. some of them are cast flange to cast iron, the others are iron to copper drain.
You can get a collar to tie onto it pretty easy… unless you knocked the whole damn flange off.. then you’re fucked.

He said that the vast majority of tickets are being bought up by London’s version of Stub Hub and are being resold at ridiculous rates: like, the equivalent of $700 a ticket. This is a massive fail if the idea is to get regular Joes over there interested in American football.

Why would cheerleaders make this story up and go public with it 5 years later? It sounds to me like the issues regarding the escorting is a difference in perception of the situation.

Laimbeer was a cheap shot artist. I still recall Laimbeer running away from Wes Unseld like a scared little girl during a game against the Bullets. And Unseld was the head coach at the time.
I made that point a couple of months ago.
Can you imagine (just using this team as an example) the Golden State Warriors going up against the late 80’s Pistons or early 90’s Knicks? GS might take a few early in the series, but their entire starting 5 would be on IR by the time the series moved to Det/NY.
GS wouldn’t do very well against those teams.

GS would do well until the physical part of the game took over. they’d get a bunch of foul shots, but it would take it’s toll (in a 7 game series). and remember, these guys are artists at it. they’d just cut the line short of flagrant. but they’d have to keep the game below 100 to have a chance.

the one thing that does confuse me about the NBA is why the sky hook is not employed more/still. because of the distance between your shoulders, another player has to really almost jump over you to block a shot. especially if you sweep across the lane and then jump and then skyhook. and, it’s a shot that can be done realistically from the 3 pt arc, though usually un-necessary.

well, go back ten years ago and the Lakers at that time had played in about 50% of the all time NBA finals since their existence. it would not be surprising to see a list covered in Lakers. they had dominated their sport like no other franchise in any other sport had. you would expect an NBA list of all time players to be dominated by the Lakers and Celtics.

the Celtics do not come anywhere near (as of the early 2000s) appearing in the Finals 50% of the time. that’s an incredible metric. the Yankees have 40 appearances in 105 years, so that’s about what we’re talking about. This is like 15 years after the stat, but even right now, the Celtics have 1 more championship, but ten fewer finals appearances. both teams have far and away dominated the NBA. 17 and 16 championships resp, the next closest are the Bulls with six.

I gotta say Guice. Smith is so much more effective with a decent run game. Then again, the O-line must function as a unit so maybe LG (whoever that ends up being).
Agreed. If he plays as billed, he could be a 1000 yard back in this offense where the pass can open up the run.
I think the Dline will be much improved with additions, but I think that will be a unit-type thing and will be difficult to isolate one player who is the difference-maker.
I’m still amazed at how that worked out. They decided to pass on him to recoup a 3rd and ended up getting him anyway.

And I was able to still get a good rb.
usually you could trade back once and still get a top defensive player, twice, to get a guy like Hernandez, and then trade back 1 more time in the 2nd, and you’d have an extra early Day 3 pick and three picks on Day 2. The problem this year is that, if the only trade back worth taking was with the Saints, you’d have had to settle for Harrison Phillips or Hernandez. And another 1st round pick next year. …wait…
I did my trading differently. I did not see most trades offered in mock as realistic. first of all, I used the difficult button for On The Clock. And I only did a trade if it meant something with the other trader…trading up for QB or top pick that had fallen. So I ended up moving back in 2nd to get a 3rd.

I’d still say the RB, because 270 touches would be somewhere around 1/4 of the total offense for the team on the year, and you just don’t have many players in the NFL who have that kind of impact. 270 touches by him is also gonna mean probably 10+ TD’s.
if you did an ANOVA on it, they probably have the greatest impact when both are on the field at the same time; but that assumes either isn’t on IR this season

You don’t need them to whoop up the crowd b/c you have music, loudspeakers and jumbotron-graphics to do that. Stuff they do in the community? Eh? I lived in the DC area my whole life as a Skins fan and never once was I aware of something that they were doing in the community.
