As it turned out, after forcing the Redskins to suffer through two straight seasons of devastating injuries, the grim reaper left the team alone for all of three plays.
Projected starting inside linebacker Reuben Foster went down with a left knee injury on play number three of day one of OTAs today. Foster was in obvious pain and was carted off the field with his knee in an air cast. ABC 7 caught the scene:

The injury clearly looks serious, but the extent of the damage, if any, is unknown at this time. We’ll keep you up to date on this situation as information is made available.
Update:
Head coach Jay Gruden stated this afternoon that Foster is still being evaluated:
Reuben Foster is still getting checked out, Gruden said. He said Foster stepped on Tyler Catalina’s foot, which led to the injury.

Update #2:
NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reported that Foster has suffered a torn ACL and additional damage, which would almost certainly be season ending:
Sources: #Redskins LB Reuben Foster is believed to have suffered a torn ACL, plus additional damage. The injury has been described as major and significant. He’s seeing specialists to determine the full extent. But a brutal situation for Washington.
