The Hog Sty has obtained the Loudoun County, Virginia arrest warrants for former Washington running back Derrius Guice. He was arrested as a result of three separate incidents, and we will provide alleged details here for each of them.
February 14, 2020
Guice was charged with 1 count of misdemeanor assault and battery as a result of an incident that allegedly took place on February 14, 2020. The arrest warrant foe this incident reads as follows:
[Victim] reported that on February 14, 2020 at [Guice home address] her boyfriend Derrius Guice pushed her to the ground in his bedroom bathroom, causing an injury to her left thumb nail where she caught her fall. The nail eventually fell off due to a popped blood vessel. [Victim] photographed this injury.

Guice was charged with 1 count of felony strangulation of another causing wounding or injury and 1 count of misdemeanor assault and battery as a result of a second incident that allegedly took place on March 13, 2020. The arrest warrant reads as follows:
[Victim] reported that on March 13, 2020 at [Guice home address] her boyfriend Derrius Guice strangled her until she was unconscious by putting his hands around her neck and applying pressure. When [victim] regained consciousness, Mr. Guice was crying and tapping her. [Victim] stated that Mr. Guice also pushed her and pulled her hair more than once while at [Guice home address] on March 13th. When [victim] regained consciousness, she had to leave to catch a flight at BWI. She said she was in a hurry and did not look in a mirror until she got to her layover in Chicago and used a restroom. [Victim] took photos of the injuries there. [Victim] suffered bruising to her neck areas as well as petechiae.
The Mayo clinic’s website defines “petechiae” as “pinpoint, round spots that appear on the skin as a result of bleeding. The bleeding causes the petechiae to appear red, brown or purple.”

Guice was charged with 1 count of misdemeanor assault and battery and misdemeanor destruction of property with value over $1,000 as a result of a third incident that allegedly took place on April 17, 2020. The arrest warrant reads as follows:
[Victim] reported that on April 17, 2020 at [Guice home address] her boyfriend Derrius Guice pushed her to the ground outside of the residence, causing her to sustain injuries to her body, which she photographed that day. She stated that Mr. Guice also threw her cell phone into the street, causing it to shatter.
It is important to remember that all of these narratives are just the allegations brought by the state of Virginia against Guice, not established facts, and do not include Guice’s side of the story. These allegations need to be proved beyond a reasonable doubt in order for Guice to be found guilty.
Guice’s attorney issued the following statement on Guice’s behalf, as originally obtained by The Athletic’s Ben Standig:

The strangulation charge from the March 13, 2020, incident is a class 6 felony under Virginia law, which is punishable by between 1 and 5 years in prison. The three misdemeanor assault and battery charges and the destruction of property charge are each class 1 misdemeanors punishable with confinement in jail of not more than 12 months. Therefore, in an unlikely hypothetical that probably will not happen, if Guice is convicted of each charge and the court chose to assign the maximum sentence for each and ordered them to be served consecutively (meaning, one after another), Guice could be subject to up to 9 years in prison and a fine. Again, though, it’s unlikely that the sentence will be that severe even if he is convicted of all of the charges. Guice’s first hearing in this matter is on August 28, 2020.
