Merry Christmas, Happy Boxing Day (for you fans in the United Kingdom) and the Washington Football Team is still in first place. It had been tumultuous week with more stories of workplace harassment, in-fighting among the various owners and Dwayne Haskins’ COVID-19 stripper-gate.

This week Washington is a 1 point favorite with the over/under at 42.5 points at home against the Carolina Panthers. Some sites have this game at zero points (or a pick’em game). I projected the Panthers to lose this week to the Washington Football Team. The game was flexed to 4:05 PM instead of the earlier 1:00 PM start time.

Last week, the Giants lost the Browns, the Eagles lost to the Cardinals and the Cowboys beat the 49ers. As a result, the NFC East standings are Washington in first, followed by the Cowboys, the Giants, and the Eagles in last place. This week, the Giants play at the Ravens and the Eagles are at the Cowboys.

With a WFT win and a Giants loss, WFT can claim the NFC East division title this week.
